Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
In conclusion, Rayman certainly meant it when he said he liked music and partying!

I understand the purpose of a direct translation, but can we please reword it so it sounds better in English? I'll do that tomorrow if you're fond of the idea.Electoon wrote:EDIT: aagh this post went messed up
Anyway, annotations are up:

Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
Mmm, it could be an idea, although personally I think it makes perfect sense as it is. As I've written it on the annotations, it has already been slightly altered from the original direct translation I received to make more sense, so I've already altered it once! Although, considering I wrote the annotations early in the morning (literally at about half one or somethingRayFan9876 wrote: I understand the purpose of a direct translation, but can we please reword it so it sounds better in English? If it is altered any further, I probably won't adjust the annotations because the text might not fit anymore and I don't see the point - but it could be useful for Raywiki or other purposes if it is possible to improve it any more.
As for the Basketball song, my exams are over now, so I should be able to upload it within the next few days. Unfortunately, I can't do it right now, because the computer with my Rayman CP files on is in use, but expect me to be more active from here on in! (until I have to get back to work in June that is

Lets take the very first sentence: "One day, when Betilla the Fairy and I were taking advantage of these delights..."
Do you see what I mean? I suggest something like "One day, when Betilla the Fairy and I were making the most of our day..."

Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
Oh, whoops - I forgot about that! Yeah, that doesn't really make much sense as it is...
Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
Well maybe Betilla and the Magician like to live life to the fullest and take advantage of the delights of every day!
Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
Rayman sure likes basketball!
For some reason I decided to fully animate this one. Next up the whole Rayman CP, reanimated

Thats awensome! Thanks Electoon!
Rayman showed his basketball side only in this game and R2/Revolution. I hope he will show it again in future Rayman games (like Legends).

You have some pretty idiosyncratic desires for the future of the Rayman series.Mammothphant 2 wrote:Rayman showed his basketball side only in this game and R2/Revolution. I hope he will show it again in future Rayman games (like Legends).

Whatever. Make fun of me if you like it so much. I just love basketball and i just thought it could actually fit in Raymans world at least better than other real life sports.RayFan9876 wrote:Don't forget that Carmen will obviously be the main character in Rayman Tennis.spiraldoor wrote:You have some pretty idiosyncratic desires for the future of the Rayman series.Mammothphant 2 wrote:Rayman showed his basketball side only in this game and R2/Revolution. I honestly think Soccer would be the most fitting out of anything, considering we've seen both the rabbids and Rayman mock it before.Mammothphant 2 wrote:I just love basketball and i just thought it could actually fit in Raymans world at least better than other real life sports.
Sorry, I just have to ask: what the fuck is up with Rayman's right hand?Electoon wrote:Rayman sure likes basketball!

Who actually enjoys animating hands anyway?
Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
For some reason I feel like eating magic baguettes on a washing machine.
Always.

Okay, I'm gonna have to make a comic about the magic baguette thing. XD
And if I pause the video at the right time, Rayman has derp eyes!

Once again, the drawing is very cool, Electoon! Congratulations!
If you want to understand this song, here's a translation: (I haven't translated word to word, because it would be incomprehensible, but the meaning is the same)
To play basketball, you must be very tall...
But it's better to be a giant,
To score points without get tired!
I can continue to translate the songs that are posted on this topic, if it's useful to you, and if the translations are decent.

"Derp"? I don't know this world. It is like strabismus?THEdragon wrote:And if I pause the video at the right time, Rayman has derp eyes!
Re: Rayman Accompagnement Scolaire - CP
Makes perfect sense. But kinda funny because Rayman is pretty short. In comparison to the average human, anyway. XDboomboleros7 wrote:To play basketball, you must be very tall...

'Derp' is a term used for something... Kinda unintelligent-looking, I suppose. Usually the term is used when someone's eyes are facing in two different directions.boomboleros7 wrote:"Derp"?
