OK. I was just recently listening to the gibberish I'd given you, coincidentally. Mind telling me what you thought of it (via PM)?

For those that be curious, Sky Cloud Cove was going to look like this.
Image
I am not happy with anymore since it looks much like a jungle in the clouds, which was not to be intended. I am going to rework this world from scratch, with this world being more Air element involved with a hint of medieval, ancient China, and some ancient Greek cultures into the mix. I'll give a preview of its assets in the future.

Thanks for reading.

Expect a rather medium-sized update late November. This is all I want to show for right now.

Thanks. No, I never intended for it to look like Trine. I don't see much similarities really.

There are two flaws with this project.

1) According to the first page, this game will be created in Flash.

2) According to the first page, it seems as though it's Crash Twinsanity 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Other than that, however, it seems like an interesting game and I'm looking forward to it. Besides, reason numero dos is more of a plus than a minus.

I'm gonna ask if my father can buy clean paper later this week so that when my desk arrives I can try something like your drawings. It'll suck but I gotta give it a go.

Yes, and it also looks like Half-Life 1, Deadpool, Team Fortress 1.5 and a singing bearded dragon. Thanks for reminding us Incognito.

1) This game's sprites and assets will be drawn in Flash. While I'm planning on using something else to build the game. Its cutscenes will be animated in Flash though.

2) Yes. This game is heavily based off of Crash Twinsanity. It also has some of its cut levels which will be implemented into ELEM (such as Ocean Commotion & the Lava Caves). Not the exactly the same but the similar idea. I would of made this game in 3D, but thanks to RO, I decided to stick with the 2D platformer idea instead.

Thank you kindly. I am planning to release the latest update later this month (hoping for a Thanksgiving week release). The update should explain the many details of ELEM, its story, the characters & how they differ in gameplay, the TIME TRIAL CHAMPION RACES, and more.

Cool! I say it'll be fine. The only way to get good at something is to try.

Ooh, I see you've used the Origins font Droolie ripped, neat. Nice poster too, and very nice drawings of your various sources of inspiration, looking forward to seeing this go full throttle once again.

The Time Trial Champion Races
"So you think you're fast!? Do ya punk!? Well why don't you go up against my fastest challengers in all of the Whimsical Domains!? Unless you're chicken! QUACK! QUACK!" -The Cartoonist

The Time Trial Champion Races are the Time Trials of ELEM. You'll have to beat the clock in order to get the TIME AMULET! Ooohh!~

Sounds easy doesn't it? Well it's not.

"The Time Trial Champion Races create a whole new set of miniaturized levels for every level in the game, so that's 60 Time Trials! (Wow, 120 levels!) To get a TIME AMULET (Ooohh!~) you have to at least get a Silver Score! But here's the catch, one of the Time Trial Champions are pitted against you to keep their title! So in order to receive the trophy and the amulet you got to beat the champion to it.

In each Timed level, there will be traps and Cheater's Chances. Traps basically just trap anybody unlucky enough and slow them down. A Cheater's Chance will either benefit or harm who ever gets it. REMEMBER, BOTH PLAYER AND AI CAN USE TRAPS AND OBTAIN CHEATER'S CHANCES."

Image

"So who are the Hero Trio pitted against to get these TIME AMULETS (Ooohh!~)? Why they are the Great Time Champions! They worked, trained, and won the title and ain't going to let anyone take that away from them unless they race fair and square!"
Image

Jungle Jim: Totem Vista Village's Time Champion. He knows the jungle like the back of his hand! Jim is one heck of an outdoors man and will use this to his advantage, along with his Bear hands! His Tarzanian yodel will make apes come to his calling to pumble you into the ground!

Juego Del Fuego: Volcano Inferno Island's Time Champion. This masked racer is one not to be underestimated. Juego is one dirty challenger, he will throw his explosive maracas if you are ahead and even if you're behind. And don't even make him angry. If he takes off his mask, Hell shall be unleashed.

Agent Ent: Aquatic Water World's Time Champion. She is one of W.W.D.A's Top Spies. Agent Ent can shift-shape into anything or anyone. Her helicopter hair can make her glide as well as safely, stealthy land. Her spy weaponry is something to be aware of.

Hercs the Great: Sky Cloud Cove's Time Champion. He is the greatest athlete around the Whimsical Domains! Hercs is great with his wall running and his wall jumps. His curly hair is also very soft! Go on touch it!

Here's a mock-shot of how a Time Trial Champion race is suppose to look like.

Hm, looking at it, it's a bit like some of the rival races in some Sonic games, such as Vs Metal Sonic in Sonic CD.

Hm, there's plenty of other neat wall jump types in games, such as the ones in the Metroid series, difficult to master, but really effective.
Either ways, I'd assume you'd develop it to fit your game, and not replicate another's whose might not fit.

Yeah, I've been researching plenty of games to make ELEM be different and play similar yet be unique. Though we all these sources I might as well be sampling. :P

I am glad this game is inspired by Twinsanity because concept of Twinsanity was cool.
Can I suggest researching Prinny Can I Really Be A Hero?
