Well, I own the original trilogy for PS2 (although I still didn't touch the second and third game) but I am considering to get more R&C titles in future, so I was wondering.

Nice to see you are interested in another one of the alive platformers
Avoid Size Matters and enjoy the PS3 titles and classic trilogy

In my opinion
The awesome Ratchet and Clank games-
Ratchet and Clank
Ratchet and Clank 2
Ratchet and Clank 3
Ratchet: Gladiator
Ratchet and Clank: Tools Of Destruction
Ratchet and Clank: Quest For Booty
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack Time
Ratchet and Clank: Into The Nexus
The average to bad games-
Ratchet and Clank Size Matters
Ratchet and Clank All 4 One
Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assault
I've never played Secret Agent Clank unfortunately so I can't comment on that games quality.

Well, I can't talk much about the original trilogy, as I've not played much of them, what I can tell you is that they're much more lighthearted in tone in comparison to the Future games.
Gladiator, All-4-One and Full Frontal Assault/Q-Force, while they are considered main series entries, they're as close to spin-offs as the series gets. Gladiator is all about arena challenges inspired by some of the mini-arena challenges from the original trilogy games. All 4 One is a co-op title, and is only really fun when playing with others, by itself, it's decent, but not all that engrossing. FFA/Q-Force uses more traditional gameplay, but is inspired by tower defense games, it's an odd little spin on the series, and I'd try out a demo to figure out whether or not this spin is to one's taste or not.
And now, onto the main Future games, I've played all of 'em barring Tools. Quest for Booty is pretty short, being a PSN downloadable title. It's fun, but obviously lacks "meat," so to speak, you can play it for completeness' sake or for better bearings on the ongoing plot of the Future arc, but I wouldn't call it a must. Crack in Time is my favourite of the series, it's probably the most story heavy, mind you, and the most serious. But, even then, it doesn't lose the characteristic sense of humour, and the weapons are still pretty fun. Finally, there's Nexus, it's smaller Crack in Time and Tools, but larger than Quest, it does feel a bit more linear and constricted at time, but it's pretty much just classic Ratchet and Clank, it ties up the Future series, so if you're in it for the story, you'll probably want this one.

Quest for Booty was also released on disc in Japan as part of this awesome collection:
May I remind everyone how awesome Ratchet sells in Japan considering it is western title
Some Japanese Ratchet games even include dual audio feature to respect English dub

And they also love to shag up his eyebrows, guess love needs some cosmetics, huh?
Though I'm curious, if they do have the western speech, do they have the western aesthetic, or is it just JP look with EN voice?

True on that, although on this Japanese collection cover, his eyebrows look normal. I need to order that collection and then I will say more details.
As for western speech, I also need to check out to confirm. Only Japanese Ratchet games I played are PS2 ones and they are Japanese only however I heared that PS3 titles have English voices included too. I will order Japanese Tools of Destruction and report details since that one is officialy confirmed to support English but I don't know details.

I like the design of eyebrows, but I don't like that they are black. Leaving color same but changing design would be better in my opinion.

I really dislike them, Ratchet's a cartoony looking character by nature, yes. But the puffy eyebrows are really pushing the wacky factor too far.

New poster for the Ratchet and Clank movie! It has been just over a year since the original teaser debuted. I really hope we get a new trailer sometime soon.

I hope it goes to the cinema in Summer of 2015, like this me and Clara would watch it if the local cinema was showing the subtitled version.

Oh wow, this is one I'll have to give a watch when it comes. I hope it will have the Ratchet and Clank humor.

I should really change the first post of this topic, kind of misleading now. Anyway, the new movie is looking great! I really hope they don't blow it because they could have either a masterpiece or a disaster on their hands. Also, can't wait for a PS4 Racthet & Clank game. I don't own a PS4 I just want to see what they'll be able to do with the series with the PS4's power.

At the moment, the PS4's power is going to be used to power a reimagining of the first game in line with the movie.

Looks like they made Qwark's chin butt shaped again.
