This whole thing makes me feel like going into the respective Rayman games and getting some more up-close renders ready for upgraded ranks. Hrm.

Not that I mind for Drunk Hoodlum is still Drunk Hoodlum.

Anyway, ranks I was looking into for quality increase (and why):
-Heckler, perhaps needs a bit more of a close-up view.
-Knaaren could have better lighting
-Maaster Kaag, from a different angle, might be more visible
-Henchman 1000 could definitely do with a more interesting pose than the current one. On to Rayman M battles!
-Clark needs a more worthy picture. He's a bit faded away into the background. I'll have to figure out on what kind of angle he'd be best, though.
-Perhaps the Mr. Dark rank, although he has a cool pose, should be replaced by the artwork of Rayman 1's Mr. Dark looking through his goggles. Not sure.

The rest seems fine in my opinion. If we really want to incorporate a zillion more ranks, then, yes, we can talk about new images.

Agreed, but even spiraldoor wasn't able to persuade the rest of the community of this!

Why not use the one where he's holding the heart of the world and fighting Betilla? I would find this one cool.

Hmm, that one's pretty convoluted what with all the effects going on around it, but I'll see what I can do when I get back home.

Roles that seems kind of an unfair stretch don't you think? Not include Origins/Legends ranks because they don't seem to be "associate" with the previous games even though they're part of the main series, but add more ranks that are from the previous games? Sounds kind of like favoriting, dontcha think?

My offer still holds. Though, if Shroob says that it might be an overkill to add all the Princesses, I propose we only use the light Princess designs (because they are very differently designed rather than the similar looking goth versions) while the Legends' bosses can be the opposing "Baddie" ranks.

And I still think the Magician rank can use a better image because frankly, I don't think mine's all that great.

I don't notice a lot of things about the ranks' standards. I don't know how you know there is something wronh with them

I should learn how to do it now that I can use Photoshop for its basic functionalities.

You mean how Brad and I discuss our own/the ranklist's ranks? Basically our view on the images themselves changes over time, where at first I thought all of the images on the previous ranklist were done and dealt with, now I see where there could be improvements to make the image on the rank itself stand out more/be more recognisable. I think Brad was commenting on the disatisfaction in his own work with the Magician rank - there's a lot more flaws to be spotted in one's own work than in that of another.

Brad: Yeah it is pretty unfair, but the 'true' Rayman games in most peoples minds are 2 & 3.

I think the comparison between the Princesses and powered-up Raymans is a bit much though, the Princesses are technically different characters, with different backstories.
That said, I too think that all ten would be overkill, no matter how they're arranged. I'm inclined to go with just the light ones, like Brad suggested.

I don't think the princesses should be even anywhere near the Rayman power ranks!

Nobody said they should, Shroob just said that having five separate Princess ranks would be the same as having five different ranks for Rayman's different power-ups, and I disagreed with that comparison.

Hmm, only way to even out the Princess ranks is probably by making more Legends ranks...

That's right. But by the time we get through all the characters in Legends, we'll have a REALLY long rank list.

No, not making ranks out of the skins but rather enemies and such. If we went the other route a lot of tangerines would be tasseled.

Even so, though. Legends did introduce quite a few enemies. And come to think of it, would there be enough goodies to balance it out at the end of the day?
