Yeah, I remember the Bog of Murk meme when we were still relatively new members.

I never found it funny

It was in an ironic way, especially since I didn't know anything about the Bog of Murk when it came so scoring and Plum got a new quote for his sig.

Though I admit it did drag out a little too much since it was extremely overused in April 2018, but it was funny at first since it was random, and it was good for Record Day.

I have a new rank, since there's nothing wrong with it.

To think it took all this controversy for this poor blue boy to get a rank of his own.

It's kind of weird that the mods are not allowed to pick their own rank and keep it as long as they want.

Wouldn't that be a bit unfair in some people's eyes and possibly cause conflict?

Well, the mods help to keep things in order, so letting them choose their own rank would be a way to thank them for what they do if they do a good job. However, I agree that it would seem unfair according to some people and would give them less incentive to participate in contests where changing your rank temporarily is part of the price.
