You must have been really desperate to turn to a show with only one episode.

How can you know that? You’ve played the final game in its entirety, but you’ve only seen a few brief clips of the ‘cancelled one’ (which in reality was one of countless incremental iterations in the game’s development). Comparing them based on this is ridiculous. This is a simple case of the grass always being greener on the other side of the wall.
Mammothphant 2 wrote:They could have kept at least the original fight with Big Mama in the Mystical Piques. The fight in the final version was too easy and short which is shame because Big Mama makes an extremely impressive boss.
How can you judge the alternate boss battle when all you’ve seen of it is a five-second clip of Big Mama roaring?
I told already why i prefer the scrapped one. Its because i wanted to know the ORIGINS. And the battle with Big Mama in the scrapped one looked much more challenging. In the final version she is scared of you and all you need to do is to make your way on her head, while in the scrapped version she wasnt really scared of you and that probably means a more battle ish battle. Of course i cant be completely sure but i assume. I do have logic.

The only thing Big Mama does in the trailer is breathe and then roar once, in that five-second timespan. Guess what? In the retail Origins, she does both those things as well. With that in mind, you are not using logic, you are using oblivious ignorance. In fact, because of that one single - major - flaw, your whole thing about Big Mama makes absolutely no sense.
As for the story, I liked the part about Globox and Rayman growing up together and such, but I didn't like the idea of how Rayman was created. It basically disregards any of the mystery given beforehand (everything in Rayman 2) and decided to come up with something much more lame. I would rather have the little story it does now than have something that insults the greatest game in the franchise.

Hey Mammoth, how exactly can you be so boring ? That's some superhuman skill you got there.

At least the final version of Rayman Origins, in the manual, it specifies that nymphs created Rayman. At least we know where he comes from since Polokus didn't dream about Rayman, and the origins weren't also specified in the first game (being only found by fishermen).

Do you mean by lame and insulting that you dont liked the idea that Rayman and Globox were uncontrollable brats in the beginning? I understand, it sounds kinda disturbing. But thats why im interested in that game. It had been interesting to know how they would become from uncontrollable, stupid and crazy to friendly, helpful and brave heroes that we all know. And in my opinion an origins story instead of a prequel had fitted better a 2D game because the original Rayman was 2D and its sequels are all 3D. Thats just my opinion. I love the final RO, but i had preferred the scrapped.
Or did you mean something else by lame and insulting?

No, i read it. Just a misunderstanding. I thought by saying " how he was created" you meant how he was created as a brat. Sorry. Im sometimes a dumbass.

Rayfanboy wrote:Not only would old bosses from Rayman 1 returning is a great idea, but how about a version of Rayman 1 using the 'Legends art style and combat system! Oh, You're slick one, Magoo!
If the art style and the gameplay are different, it’s not really the same game, so why not just make a new one instead?

@ Spiraldoor:The trailer doesnt tell it all. I mean the whole story.
@ DesLife: Boring? Why? Because i tell my opinions?
I hope there will be more cutscenes in RL than in RO.

To Mammotphant:
Dude, the whole story is in the god damn manual. The nymphs, the zombie chickens, Globox's story, the rest was on the website. If you want more, Play Rayman 1 and then read the manual of Rayman 2... that's all.
Now... there's one reason why I kinda miss the "beta" rayman origins from the first trailer: The camera, Rayman just looks amazing, and the details are more clear, I dislike how the camera zooms out, but that's all, there's no reason why I would need a prequel, Rayman doesn't really need it. Making a game about a teenager Rayman being a pervert and a douchebag would have been an awful step from ubisoft, particularly because the rabbids recently left the series.

Ive read all that many times, but it doesnt tell everything (how Rayman and Globox met and how they became heroes from brats). I just wanted to know more okay.
THE END
The RLs music (so far what i heard) is awensome! That LOTL rock version was perfect. More tracks like this. I think rock and heavy metal fits Rayman great.

Who cares? Everyone does stupid things as a child, apparently even Rayman. Probably they just grew up with the years, like everyone does. Why did he become a hero? well, because the beginning of the story makes clear that he's the chosen one

Not all stories are worth having extreme detail put into them, they can cause restrictions.
