I never particulary liked or disliked the point system in Rayman 3 HOWEVER I do remember there were times when in really pissed me off, in parts when I suddenly thought 'O CRAP' when I just realised that I could have done something to earn even more points... I reckon it put pressure into the the game that wasn't needed........ Rayman should be about enjoyment and love and such

not points and competition. But what's done is done I guess.

I rather liked the point system. It added replayability.

Yes, scores and collectible things add alot of replayability to games. I like to try and figure ways out in Rayman 3 to improve my scores. But those guides to 'maximum' scores in PC kinda spoil the fun so I rather avoid them.

Haaah, break from the game. That referee is... how shall I say...
Anyway, I prefer collectibles because they require more trawling and skill. With Rayman 3, sure you had to find the secret areas filled with gems, but the big issue was with how quickly you collected everything.

The lum system is much better, and the 'SHINE GET!!' system even more so.

I wouldn't mind a way to redo something if you screwed up. Currently, you only get once chance to collect those gems then kill that hoodlum as fast as possible, and if you don't keep up a combo all the way through, too bad.

It would have been great if all those really well-hidden secret areas in Rayman 3 had Yellow Lums in them rather than jewels.

The entire game should've had Yellow Lums rather than jewels. I mean, what's that teaching the kids? 'Get rich as fast as possible or you'll look stupid' is the message it gives. With lums, it's more like 'YAY, you've put in the time and effort to rescue innocent people/kitty-cats/glowing orb things! Give yourself a SHINIE!!!!' etc.

This gaem was far too easy.
I beat it in two hours even though I hardly use my playstation any more.
Also I'm not familiar with rayman so I didn't really know wtf was going on.
Gonna buy rayman raving rabbids next.

Don't you dare.
Try and source out Rayman 2, it's not hugely difficult, but definitely a master lesson in how to make a platforming game properly. Revolution on the PS2 ain't a bad port.

Is RRR bad or something?
And ok, ...candish.

RRR is the death of the Rayman franchise. The bunnies themselves aren't bad, but it's a party game.

As I've played for a few years and achieved such a high ranking position, of course I'm going to support the scoring system in R3.

But what could have made this system better would be to remove the percentage ratings at the end of each part. They kind of elucidated secret rooms.

They were much more awesome as zombie-like beings though. Especially because they attacked as an army and not individually, making them far more intimidating.

But they were ugly.

It a horrible, StarWing kind of way.

I didn't.

But I agree, it was better than those unbelievably smooth, white-ass Ubi-lickers that we got instead. They looked like the rabbit version of John Sergeant.

I still think that after a person completing R3 for the first time, it could be unlocked in the options screen to disable the in-game cutscenes, because it's really annoying when you are replaying levels to try to achieve a certain score, especially on the Fairy Council.
What's curious is RHR not discounting points everytime you get hit.

I agree with this fully. Score does nothing but artificially inflate the game's length. Same with trophies, achievements, and whatever other system like it. That said, I always 100% games if needed.
