I made detailed video on how to dispute copyright claim and I used Nintendo as an example. Expect me to make videos on how to appeal rejected disputes and how to fill counter-notification to get strike removed in future. Looks like Nintendo wants to fight me on YouTube
Well, Victor Entertainment lost against me, Nintendo will be next.
Kidding, unlike for Victor Entertainment, I have respect for Ninty's games so I would not call it win or lost, but more like clearing misunderstandings.

Hey there, I've got a problem concerning Youtube...
A week or two ago, my Internet got sped up, which isn't really a bad thing, but a few days ago, I suddendly found myself unable to upload videos on Youtube. The first few days after the upgrade it worked just fine, but all of a sudden, it stopped working. I can't even use the Basic-Uploader anymore.
Has anyone an idea as to what the problem might be?

You mean it freezes/crashes or something? Use the select option in YouTube to select the files you want to upload rather than dragging them into your browser.

The problem is the following:
I press the button "Upload" in the upper right corner, and it says "Loading..." on my screen. Then, at some point, I get this message: "This process takes longer than anticipated... if it doesn't get finished soon, refresh the page, or use the Basic Uploader." (freely translated). And this happens all the time. Basically, I don't even get to select files to be uploaded.
It's the same when I try to use the Basic Uploader; I can search for a file, enter the title, and add a description, but as soon as I press the button "Upload video", it gets stuck, and won't start uploading.

If you have the video saved in Windows Live Movie Maker you can upload it to YouTube from there, maybe that'll work. I don't know what other programs have that feature though.

Checked. That's true : you can share your last montage on YT or the rest of the Internet.

Oh I didn't know about this thread. I have a YouTube channel too. I haven't posted anything in a while now and it doesn't follow any particular theme; it's like a little stockpile of videos of me doing all sorts of stuff. There's two Minecraft things, there's one or two music videos I created to other bands' music, there's me playing the drums in a band I used to play in and there's me playing piano. Finally, there's two small videos on me showcasing a game I made for a Physics project in secondary school.
And some mostly uninteresting Rayman stuff, except one video where I find out that you can get really up close and personal with sleeping Henchmen in R2 to get some good reference shots of the guy.
I'm planning on doing some more piano videos soon-ish, but I can't promise they will actually appear anywhere in the near future.

Thanks for the information, guys. Sadly, I use neither of the mentioned programs, but Bandicam, which doesn't have that option - so, still the same problem.

I know you did this more than 2 years ago, and probably know this by now, but let me give you a little tip: When you kill one of the Lavicrafts in one go (meaning without hitting the other one in the process), they'll share the health-bar... so, after you've got one down to half its health, it will die, and the other one will have only half its health left.

You are using Bandicam?
What is the format of your videos? Are you using the free version of it or the upgraded one?
EDIT : Alright, found something about that. If your video format is not taken in charge by YT, you could have this error.
Free version, and it's .avi-files. It seems like Youtube has to convert those to another type, but it worked just fine until now.
Also, as previously mentioned, I don't even get the chance to try and upload something. The page which is supposed to show up won't load.

Did you try to create a new account to see if it works again? Or try on another computer?

Try re-rendering the videos (I use Handbrake since it's sexy and free, but basically anything works) or use a different codec in Bandicam, and make sure not to upload uncompressed video files.
Also, Windows Live Movie Maker is a kind of an abysmal program, to be honest. (Hell, use VirtualDub, if anything.) Vegas Pro is basically the best video editor available for Windows.

I already tried another account, and it doesn't work either. I haven't tried it on other PCs yet, but first of all, since I'd guess that it has something to do with the Internet-Connection, it most likely won't work on the other PCs at my home because they're obviously using the same, and two, it'd suck if I always had to go to another PC just to upload videos. I'd rather do that on my own PC, but I may try using my little sister's PC just to see whether it works (although I'm afraid it won't).

As I said, I don't even have the option of uploading videos. It's not like I get an error because something is wrong with the file, it's just that the time limit for loading the page is always exceeded. The page says "Loading...", then at some point "This process takes longer than anticipated... if it doesn't get finished soon, refresh the page, or use the Basic Uploader.", but when I refresh the page, I get the same message again, and when I use the Basic uploader, well - basically same problem; it won't even start loading. It's not a problem with the files, but rather with Youtube itself.

WAT?
Vegas Pro is probably the one having the best balance between user-friendliness and possibilities, but it ISN'T the best video editor available for Windows.
Adobe Premiere is the best for that, and especially when used with After Effects. However, it is harder to use it than Vegas Pro, and it is recommended to start with Vegas Pro before going to Premiere.

The only things I can find (for now) talk about a period 2 years ago when people had trouble uploading videos on YT because the website was having problems.
Some others say it happens because of the queue, or that it can be solved by changing your IP. huh?
Have yo utried to upload it on different days? Maybe in two/three days it could work fine. It seems this problem is randomly happening to many people on YT.

Meh, it's the best for most people.

This probably won't solve the problem, but have you tried clearing your browser's data/cache?
