Hm, I'm undecided. On the one hand, I feel really attached to the UK, and even with things as they are, I still very much like it here. On the other hand, I don't know if I'll be able to make something of myself here, and may very well have to move out. I guess it's a perhaps or a maybe?

Yes - ideally, I'll be moving to Poland in the next two years. Though, I'll probably only be there for a few years before moving again, and it's unlikely it'll be back to Vancouver.

I'm glad I moved but I won't stay there forever, I'm pretty sure I'll eventually go back.

I'm impossible at editing myyself down so hhehere:
I immigrated from the Netherlands to the US (suburb area in Texas) in 2009 as ssssome of you probably know. I'm kinda mixed on it, I'm glad I wasn't sheltered my whole growing up in a small farm town and being here has "widened my worldview", and I like being an inside-outsider of both Dutch & US culture, that makes you a little more conscious of the quirks of each.
On the other hand I haven't really enjoyed living in Texanal at all, I've never felt like I'm able to make any connection with people here and ended up as kind of a lonely little bitch. I used to attribute that entirely to me just being introverted but then I just spend a few weeks back in the home country and I had no trouble hitting up conversations with strangers or family members I haven't met in years, it felt amazingly refreshing to be in the presence of people again who you just click with. I dunno about other places in the US, but I find people in my area to have something really sterile and insecure about them. People always seem hostile to conversation and afraid to burst someones bubble, and it ends up in this weird thing where everyone just kind of fakes a smile and acts a little too excited about simple things - Texans would be the kind of people to say dumb shit like "No way, I wish I was as pretty as you!" to someone with a deformed burned face and not realise how shallow they're coming across.
The area also just really lacks something, it's a fairly new suburb and completely devoid of personality. I kind of miss just little touches like how the town I used to live in has a weird mish-mash of old and new homes, or the nearby city has a bunch of weird alternative people living in it or you turn a corner and you're suddenly in the Polish immigrant block. Over here everything is freakishly organised and structured, everything is plastered in corporate logos and you can't find an alternative to big chains, and you can tell the only reason anything here even exists is because a big company decided to invest in creating homes and shopping malls.
So yeah h h h h I don't intend on staying here much longer, but I don't want to leave the country because US politics have become the thing I wanna dedicate my life too and I need to be at the frontline for that. I'm eyeing Washington DC, I was there a few months back and it was grate, really epiccc city.

I grew up one foot in France and one foot in Germany. I have always been mixed about what is my home and what is away. I also spend some time abroad and I remember being fine there. I didn't feel better and I didn't feel worse. To me, it's not really about the place, it's about the people. As long as I can connect with them, I say why not.
For me, France remains my homeland, but if the opportunity presents itself I'd gladly move to countries where I feel I can survive, which means countries whose native language is either english, german or french.

I feel like the UK is already pretty big with quite a lot of variation, even if it's relatively tiny compared to America or the rest of Europe, and that I'd always find somewhere new to visit before considering moving to another country. Of course traveling around the world and exposing yourself to new cultures is fun, but I don't think I'd want to live anywhere else.

This next poll is about a feature of the site itself! I often wonder just how many people are actually behind those little slogans that greet front-page viewers…

I sometimes read/change it when I find myself accidentally stumbling that low down on the portal.

In that case it may interest you to know that a few days ago someone was asking you in song to show your face.

Oh, while I salute the attempt, it is impossible for those words to reach and affect me anyway.
Except if they come out of the mouth of a super hot 18 years old blonde Swedish girl of course.
Even so, it won't be here that I'll take off the helmet.

I remember someone asking "why did you buy a trumpet off of Ebay?"
Who was that?

This poll is boring, change next question to opinions on transsexuals. No literally, I fucking dare you to make that the next poll.
