Cool Ranks ! I'm amazed you did that with Paint, i only can do such things in the GIMP.

I don't even know what GIMP is.
But it's actually possible to do anything in Paint, if you have the skill. I'm not one of the most skilled, but i do know how to make ranks.

GIMP is like a freeware Photoshop. If cel shading is your thing then you might like it, anything else is better off done in Photoshop.

I'm not really into these expensive programs. They're too... expensive, and my parents wouldn't allow me to buy them. I would never learn to use them anyways (Me + Photoshop = No). Good thing i know how to handle my fake rank business with Paint.

I personally use editor, that's more Paint, than GIMP, but it has some really funny skills. It is especially good on cutting a screenshot, because you can fix a border without stretching picture.

No, I am just saying.

Then you have no idea how hard it is to remove the background colour. There are about 100 different black colours, that all looks the same. You can't just use the fill tool.

That's the problem with MS Paint 1.0
In Photoshop, there's a special tool which acts as a magnet to lighter shades, I think. It's quite fiddly though.

I would wish i could get Photoshop + Instructions for free.

Just as much as I wish I could get Noitu Love 2 for free.
