At least UbiArt Rayman beats Rayman 1 Rayman.

Who was it that made that artwork in regards to R1's hair and bug-eyes?

Wasn't it Michel Ancel himself?

I don't think Michel would be dissing his own artwork, I think it might have been Gnine.

Michel Ancel originally drew the R1 design as we know it.

I'm gonna be completely honest; his third design is the one that appealed to me most. I enjoy his scruffy hair and a hoodie on him instead of a bandana. (I can't say the same for his personality though.)

Not sure why but the simplicity of his hair in Rayman 2 has always appealed to me. Also I'm a bandana fan .

I always liked the Rayman 3 design the most.
But Rayman 3 is also my favourite Rayman game so it probably has something to do with that.

I think it's the scruffy hair and his hoodie that make me like his look in Rayman 3. And those shoes. Those are some nice shoes.
I will admit though, I do enjoy his appearance in Rayman 2 with his bandanna and the classic look.

About the Rayman 2 look. As a kid I used to call him Mr. Banana Hair with a potato nose. xD

Rayman has always been a beautiful man, but let's see...

R1: It's kind of weird how his entire head seems to just be giant eyeballs and a nose. And looks like people still remember that dumb drawing I did where Rayman's hair grows out of those eyeballs. But the bandana is rad.
R2: The flat pasta hair keeps bugging me. But the bandana is rad.
R3: RADICAL HIP K00L MOTHERFUCKER WITH A H00DIE AND RAD AZZ SHOEZ CAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE KIDS ARE INTO THESE DAYS RIGHT? But despite that, his hair actually looks like hair. And I like the way his eyes are drawn and his head shape much more now. He just needs to stop doing that Dreamworks face all the time.
RO / RL: Not much has changed other than him being 2D now. But he looks just as good. It's just the constant smiling that is slightly unsettling. Like, lay off the sugar, man.

Anyway the best rayman look in my opinion is from rayman 3, probably because it's the game i played the most as a kid but i like it a lot

My favorite currently is the R3 look, but if we ever get the R3 look with a bandana, then I'm sold.

That more or less describes the Ubi-art Era games in a nutshell.

Rayman 1's is a bit weird. He's mostly nose and eyes. And I think we've talked about this in the past, but focus on his eyebrows and his innocent smile has to be called into question:



Now look at him with thickened eyebrows and tell me who really looks the most sinister here:



Other than that, I'll side with R3 Rayman. He does look a bit like he's going through his edgy teen phase, but it's the most natural and polished he's been. I'm not sure why we're not discussing his fourth and best redesign though:

The Raving Rabbids artwork is a sight to behold, he looks a bit...plastic-y
