I just heard that they are going to stop making Doctor Who episodes after this season.
What a shame...

Who told you that? It's obviously not true.

I loved the references to [past stories like that of the Eye of Harmony and the little cameos like the Doctor's cot]. I enjoyed this episode a lot - the ending was surprising, but it worked for me. I am really glad they've started involving more of [the Doctor's past and how his character builds around that. Too bad Clara doesn't get to remember what happened - the things she learned should have given the two characters a more profound relationship (in any sense of the word you like)].

I wasn't really interested nor fond of the brothers' sub-plot or the characters themselves, no offense to the actors, but I just didn't resonate with them.

They weren't really that necessary, but I liked the subplot just because I have the vague suspicion it was a reference to the Firefly series. The resemblances were striking, if not.
The plottwist - you'll know what I mean if you've seen it - was a nice one, but I can see how it all looked a bit like 'filler material'.

I liked the Crimson Horror, a lot actually, I wasn't expecting it to be this good, but it was.
I know the Paternoster gang isn't liked by all, but I didn't mind them in this episode, it was nice to see more of Jenny, given that she's usually the least significant of the three. This episode was supposed to be the doctorcompanion-lite ep of the series, though it didn't seem as lite as some of the previous 'uns.

Yeah - I liked it too. The actress who played [the blind woman Eda] was very good, I thought.

I think the only problem I have is the ending, where Clara gets found out, t'was a bit...ugh, to say the least.

Seriously, it might have worked with the evidence they had, but the bigger question is, where'd all those pictures come from?

They looked like those pictures your camera-obsessive friend takes of you whenever you're anywhere. But there weren't any such friends around!

More importantly: wasn't Clara supposed to be gone only for, like, the night or the day just after she left? How in the world did those kids find those pictures so soon? More importantly, how did they find them at all?! I'm sure Googling around for Victorian pictures of your nanny is not something kids do these days.

What makes you think the kids only found the pictures after Clara met the Doctor?

Wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey stuff, though I do wonder, how'd they come across the images in the first place? Why is it that they were capable of taking those images, and where the heck did the image of Vic Clara come from?

Because they didn't make a fuss about it in the first episode, when Clara has yet to meet the Doctor. If the child would've known by then, surely she wouldn't wait until later, given the apparent attitude they both had when they did confront Clara with the pictures. But that's not really my problem. Now the portrait of Clara from Victorian times I can understand (although it's a bit weird to have a portrait made of your nanny), but why do the kids have it and how did they come across it? Like I said, it's not like they've been scouring around the library to find these things - why would they?

Annnyyway it doesn't really matter. Let's not make this speed bump into the mountain it's really not.

Here's something interesting, apparently some lucky sods were able to obtain the Blu-Ray which has this series on it, consequently, they've been able to see the finale, tread carefully, ye who be wary of spoilers, the internet could potentially be host to some major ones.

Anyway, we had The Nightmare in Silver for our viewing pleasure this weekend,
[I liked it, it felt a little...compressed, and I felt that the Cybermen's presence was a little lacking, but all in all, it was pretty good.
The idea that Cybermen evolve and upgrade makes sense, and the change from cybermats to cybermites reflects this well. The redesign of the Cybermen was also pretty good, they look less robotic and more like "upgraded" organisms, though they still are tending closer to the robot side of things though, just not as much.

The clash between Doctor and CyberDoctor was nice as well, especially since CyberDoctor seemed to just be an evil version of the Doctor anyway, which put me off at first, since I was expecting a cold logical CyberDoctor, but, it warmed up to me, only because of how similar the CyberDoctor seemed to be to the normal Doctor, which in a way, is a nice reminder that of the Doctor's dark side, and that he's more than capable of being an effective villain.

The kids...meh, the boy was alright, though a tad bit over-eager for my liking, but the girl...ARGH, really, she just came off as obnoxious and a bit of a brat really, but luckily, since they were both put under cyber-influence, they weren't given a large enough presence to make their personalities have a greater lasting effect on me, otherwise, I'd probably have enjoyed this episode a lot less.]
