Whatever it is, I won't be able to pick up Tahu again and spend an afternoon creating an epic adventure for him as I once was able to, and it's a shame, but adulthood brings its own advantages in creativity and that is the silver lining.
I see what you mean now. Yes, I agree. I wasn't able to play with them like before at a point due to aging. One of the most fun plays I remember to do with the toys was Makuta and his Rahkshi kidnapping animals to held captive and to take them away by a mechanical train (other of my favourite toys!) that worked in batteries in a track you could invent yourself. The fort of Makuta was guarded by some Bohroks and infected Rahis so the Toa had to ask some help to some notable Matorans to infiltrate and embush the bad guys. Some fights were while the train was in movement and they were inside the transportation boxes of it! In the end it was Takanuva VS Makuta. It was so fun.

HYPE, HYPE and more HYPE!
This time, animated trailer. I am glad they did it in 2D animation.

Meh, can't say I'm as fond of it, I've always seen Bionicle animation done in 3D (movies, commercials etc.) for the most part, this style seems to be akin to those seen in flash animated cartoons. Difference in animation preferences aside, it does look intriguing, but I couldn't really make out what was being said. I'll just keep tabs out for the inevitable article detailing this new saga.

I'm too hyped about all of this, there is nothing bad in my opinion. Everything so far seems really nice!
But there is only one thing that bugs me... The NYCC exclusive transparent hau mask... I'm a hardcore bionicle collector, and that thing is going to cost a fortune...

Hmm, seems a little less dark compared to the lines I saw as a young 'un, but it's a new start. As for the animation, looks much nicer now that I see it proper, though I still can't say I could attribute that kind of art-style to Bionicle.
I never did muse upon this before, but looking at this now, is this a reboot or continuation? Looking at the site, it's got the original Toa team, but no sign of any of the other older concepts.

It's a "soft reboot". They want to use original stuff, but mix it with new things.

Hmm, I'm now watching this to refresh my memory:
Interesting, they've changed Lewa from Air to Jungle. Onua has been renamed to Onya.

Onua has not officially been renamed to Onya, there are two sources that say the different name. We just have to wait for a real confirmation.

That is in my opinion great idea since I am huge fan of original and I am curious to see a second take on it.

I agree with that! I always wished for a reboot, the original story was going a bit... out of hand..?
OMG it's already up on eBay
No way I can pay that much, you can have it dude.
Neverrrr. It was already too much to pay about 50e for two misprinted masks. Maybe I will try to make a twitter account and retweet the legos tweet... and I might have a slight change of winning it... maybe... probably not tho...

EDIT: Do Earthworm Jim playmates figures count?
Are you implying that LEGO is a child's toy by posting that in here?

Well, it's a toy from my childhood, it being a child's toy is another matter entirely. I do still have some of my old LEGO builds in my cupboard, actually. Alongside some of my Transformers.

And this thread is called Childhood toys, and LEGOs qualify as such for me as well.
