What game are you talking about? Because I can't think of anything that matches that description, besides maybe Rayman 3 + Raving Rabbids on the GBA and that would be quite a reach.
Besides, Ubi has never cared about "complaining" as only their unrealistic sale goals ever interested them as it has been stated so many times.

And how does the UbiArt games' humor is even close to Rayman 3? They don't even have dialogs 99% of the time, nor do the characters have any personality besides being the same smiling and screaming idiots.
If anything, their humor is far closer to the Rabbids.
Also, I've seen quite a few people stating Ray 3's humor is very dated for the most part (which I agree with, especially when it comes to Murfy), and from experience, only a few grumpy old men like me have been criticizing the jokes in the recent games.


Honestly, we had nothing but UbiArt games in the past ten years, the same thing copy-pasted over and over again with a gameplay that barely even feels like Rayman (where's mah Telescopic/Magic Fist?).
Origins, Legends, Jungle Run, Fiesta Run, Adventures, Mini, Incrediballs Dodge... I just want something new, or at the very least something closer to the original games.

1: Well yes, fair point I suppose, but I’m talking about the team who created rayman. It’s not like everyone who works there has to work on Assassins creed?

2: “smiling and screaming idiots” could be used to describe most characters in rayman 3, as well as most people who think their sense of humor is different except the Ubiart ones being illiterate or only speaking pig Latin

3: And there’s a problem with that? You should only be glad we’re getting rayman at all

1. I'm well aware. But I doubt the studios care about some random comments online which have always been a minority.
Besides, the UbiArt got nothing but praise when they were released, even to an absurd degree. The few people criticizing them only ended up getting insults and the good old "nostalgic-tinted glasses" comments for feeling differently back then.
So according to your argument, we should have nothing but tons of Rayman games as of now, right?

2. For replaying the game literally in the past weeks, I disagree.
The characters are indeed silly for the most part, but it's subtle enough and they still have a PERSONALITY that feel different from each other and they can do something else than smiling or screaming like maniacs. Characters actually talk, think and can grow.
Globox grows more brave through the adventure in Rayman's company going from the usual coward to casually helping Rayman face dozens of Hoodlums and a giant monster by driving the Armaguiddon. Globox is afraid of André at first but then grows to like him to the point of being very sad when he's gone at the end. Reflux goes from a proud champion to a vengeful monster willing to plot with evil beings and even sacrifice his own mind to kill Rayman... These are just a few examples.

3. Yes: eating the same soup over and over becomes boring. Same goes for the dozens of lazy remaster/ports of the older games we had in between and in the past.
I have a problem with a great long-standing platforming franchise getting such poor treatment in the past 15 years, with terrible merch (these t-shirts...), literal dead years of waiting between news regarding the franchise, lazy mobile/web games that can't compare to PC/console ones (including one where Rayman himself had to be ADDED through an update! ), no respect to the lore and characters built in the previous entries (characters' species being retconned and so on), and more.

Yes, I am allowed to have a negative opinion about these games... even if they're absolute masterpieces as platformers and I love them as such.
I just feel they just shouldn't have been Rayman games to begin with, just like the Rabbids should have been their own thing from the beginning.

We all have our points of view about dem video gams, live with it.


No hard feelings btw, I'm just exaggerating a few things because it's more entertaining that way.
I actually like to read vastly different opinions on these games as it's always interesting to see what others think.

I'm more inclined to agree with what Saturn said, I think it's time to give Ubiart games a long time coming break. Sorry to you guys who like Ubiart but I think Legends is trash compared to every other mainline game and it's overrated. I did like Origins though, I'll give you that. But then they had to copy the same formula multiple times starting with Legends and it got old and stale for me realllllll fast. If there was ever a new game coming out for Rayman (which I have -14% hope for), I hope it will steer away from this Ubiart trend.

It used to be rayman 2 until I realised how much I didn’t like it

Ironic, since currently R2 is my favorite game. In truth, I like all the Rayman games, just as I've said, Legends not as much. Origins is a good game though. That swimming motion!
