Size isn't everything.

I do wonder why he's so much larger than other knaaren. To my idea he's just like the rest of his folk, really. It might make a good subject in the lore thread.

It isn't only his height that is different, but the look of his clothes, and his eyes are more bugsy.

What would make Reflux, aside from being a champion, so different from his fellow species? If it were to design him he would have looked just the same as other knaaren. Being a gladiator is no good reason to look completely different.

Concerning the eyes, I would have liked it if the knaaren had these 'bugsy eyes' aswell. It makes them look smarter, or so to say. Not that they're very smart when you have to dodge them around. (Talking about hiding behind the walls at the tower level...although somehow they sometimes DO notice me.)

All the Knaaren look like clones of each other - Reflux needed to stand out from the crowd somehow. Big people are always better at pummelling indiscriminately. I guess the bulgy eyes of doom are just muscley. :fou: Nom nom nom nom nom...

God, I wish the lore thread was closer. This would make a good topic.

Obviously he should stand out from the crowd but I believe it could've been done better than making him a freak of his own kin.

But he's not a freak - he's just a 'master race' version of the Knaaren. :( *shudder*

there's something that I did not understand when reflux is driving, what's the place with a strange land and blue flowers? is the top of the tower that broke off? is a real place, or something created by the power of Leptys? (A bit like the tower that changes as a measure of the transformation Reflux)

It's implied that it IS the Leptys (when Reflux summons the Leptys, a strange cloud formation appears, which is the place with eyes on stalks etc.), but I figure it's a dimension/magic area of his.

It isn't implied, Globox explicitly says that it is the Leptys.

He also believes that the Leptys is the Tetris.

Well, he's an idiot. Compare it to Homer Simpson's calling rack and pinion steering "rack and peanut steering".

Which is why we can't really trust a word he says.

But I am nitpickin'.

So, we're actually on the Leptys...he has some strange ass feathers.

Too many eyes, as well. And they're all internal. :mefiant: Yucky.

Back to R3...
Plums! Rayman can't ride on plums in R3, can he? I know he can carry them, but he can't hit or stand on them (while they bounce), right?

They don't bounce either :mryellow:

The Plum on R3 is also smaller... and it doesn't bounce either. It just is useful to stick on sharp sticks, nothing else.

But they make up for it by giving it epic theme music whenever it's held. :)
