Re: Rayman 3 Scores
The walkthroughs are all updated and will lead to the maximum score for each level. The only exceptions are FC, which needs an overhaul, and LS, where I have found an improvement compared to the current walkthrough.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Okay thanks, I'll start with CLF then
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I think I really should try to pick R3 again... but I have 2 walkthroughs to finish the recording. xx

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Well I put up my score. Considering I had to start a new game it wasn't easy. And I could not access that hidden door in the final level. I will replay some levels sometime.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Yes, Yes! After lots of tries I finally, finally managed the Triple Glitch! It's such a great feeling to have it achieved and I still can't believe it. I hit Razoff with a charged fist directly after he shot, pressed the shoot button repeatedly, closed my eyes and waited a bit. When I then saw 12040 in the combo I was really thrilled
I now have slightly over 91k after Part 5. I haven't played Part 6 since a long time, but I think it should be doable. The part I'm afraid of the most is to get a 800 combo in the right moment (at the very end with 98.999)
Anyway, it doesn't really matter to me right now, as I'm currently too high to think of the possible pain

Does that works on the PC version?mostwanted82 wrote:Yes, Yes! After lots of tries I finally, finally managed the Triple Glitch! Re: Rayman 3 Scores
A message for Cut:
I've recently browsed TSF to check the status of some of the R3 threads, and in doing so used the search feature to filter posts that contained my name. If you're reading this, I'd like to ask you once more to refrain from opening your preposterously large mouth again, with regards to discussing myself and my methods of playing. Once again, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about and are completely unable to base the comment on any tangible ground. My score is far superior to yours, so I'd also like to ask you to stop assessing the HOF ranklist as if you're some sort of pro, because you aren't.
To briefly explain to observers, in July Cut made another assessment of me and other players and posted something which roughly translates to "Xenon has in my opinion not contributed anything to the game" when discussing the arrival of all these new scorers in the past few years.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Okay, I didn't expect it to be easy at all, but it's more challenging than I thought. Getting my way to 98.999 itself is not that much of a hard task, but deducting the points and pulling off a 800-er combo in the right moment is pretty annoying.
I don't have a lot of motivation anyway right now.
Sure the current situation has it's advantages as well, I could work on my scores while others are doing very little to no effort at all to improve their scores, but I'm fed up already and moved away from the game again as well. Not sure whether I'll start playing properly again in the next days, but the missing competition is not very encouraging, and I'm busy with other things.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
TSF, and especially Cut, do indeed show very little respect for HoF and for non-German/non-Austrian players. They even made a "who really deserved to be the World's best player" list. And surprise surprise, a German topped that list. This lack of respect has sadly contributed to an occasional tense atmosphere in this forum. Cut called me a cheater at some point, and sfn called me arrogant. It has made it very hard, if not impossible, to openly discuss ideas for R3.Xenon wrote:I've recently browsed TSF to check the status of some of the R3 threads, and in doing so used the search feature to filter posts that contained my name. Edit: By the way, have you made any progress in TLOTLD?

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
oh really, not again...
actually i had the hope that we could just put all the tension that is between us aside but obviously we can't.
to be perfectly honest with you, my attitude towards the game and the whole argument about points has changed during that last year, and i'll no longer argue about a children's game. i don't care anymore who's first, who's second, who found what and who reveals which combos.
back then i did indeed not reveal anything because i wanted to see whether you could overtake me on your own (which i was totally sure about) and i wanted to see which score you'd reach without any combos from me. afterwards i was just too lazy to play the game again and go through FC and during that time i slowly came to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter whether i reveal my combos. it just took a while to gain enough motivation to record everything.
the way i see it now is that really nobody fears cut or whoever. since the HoF is hosted by RPC and moderated by Xenon we have perfect control over it, so if any cheater showed up, we could easily delete them from the HoF, or - in case of anyone bragging with his score - ignore him.
if everyone seems to be comfortable with it, i'll gladly create an invisionfree forum that I can easily hide from everyone who isn't wanted there. i'd be happy to solve all the problems that have risen between us, but frankly, i don't care if i can't do so.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Well, thanks for your faith in me that you thought I could overtake you even though you were convinced you had the maximum score in FC.DTUCC wrote:back then i did indeed not reveal anything because i wanted to see whether you could overtake me on your own (which i was totally sure about) and i wanted to see which score you'd reach without any combos from me.
Interesting reason for not revealing anything, but maybe other players could have benefitted from your videos.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Well, words have been exchanged in the last few messages that perhaps have not been to the benefit of the game and perhaps been of little interest for the rest of the forum. I hope we can get back on track and talk about the game again. Here are a few combos that are new to at least some of you.
The Dwarf Combo
The Fairy Hole Combo
I plan to make a few more videos after I finish FC.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Thanks for the videos!
The first one I knew as you told me long ago and I played and when I scored 45XXX points in FC. It's not that hard but quite annoying because it's right at the end of the level and that can make for some tedious restarting.
The second combo is new to me. I did play the version CC filmed a while back. I didn't ever think about revisiting that room but in retrospect it's quite obvious that you found a way to improve it, since in my version the first fairy wasn't even taken with a powerup.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Ah yes, I'm familiar with that dwarf combo too. It was the one I spoke about hypothetically just after I finished the part. I always suspected it could be achieved but I never managed to reach the dwarf after the wooden bridge in time, although I didn't put in too much effort given that I was playing a different part/world at the time. Good to see actual footage of it working!
Also, it's good to see the animosity has disappeared within this thread. I'm still waiting for Cut to respond to my message, but I won't be too distinguished (or surprised) if he doesn't. Most people already know him for his conterfeit knowledge and narrow-mindedness anyway.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Yeah, I remember your note about the Dwarf Combo. The hard part has always been to reach the Dwarf after the wooden thing. The rest of the combo is pretty straightforward.
This Fairy Hole Combo is version 3 for me. I also started with the first Fairy Hole in version 1. The second version was a small improvement. It's the last version that really gives a boost.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
THIS IS THE BEST RAYMAN GAME but im on the last level (havent cleared the game)
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
It is indeed the best Rayman game, at least when it comes to scoring and longevity.
Good luck with the last level. Remember to enter your score into the Hall of Fame after you finish the level.
