It's coded as the 1000th lum. It increases your health to max no matter when you get it. UbiSoft should have done a better job of disguising it as a casual lum though.

What happens if Razorbeard eats a Lum? He must have gotten stronger, since the Yellow Lums provide all the structure of the Heart, so it must have helped him grow. And in some versions of the game, Razorbeard eats a Red Lum. He must have taken a hard knock sometime, so that could refuel him.

I heard that in Revolution, it's in the chest where you find the lum radar. However, the secret chamber is still there but empty!

But why does the lum counter decrease to 999 when Razorbeard eat the yellow lum if they don't can be destroyed? The answer is: Razorbeard convert the yellow lum to another sort of energy. Then it never change back because the amount of lums don't change back to 1000.

Just to trick the players, by thinking that it's really 999 to catch and not 1000.

Still, if they really wanted to trick the players, they should've coded it as a normal lum and made it so that whatever is the 51st lum you get would increase it to 51 and (maybe) give you maximum energy.

But collecting the Lum converts the 99,9% percentage to 100%.
