I prefer ProJared. He also does various Nuzlockes (FireRed, Y, DarkCry bootleg ongoing)

Oras is looking pretty fantastic so far. Being able to fly around the map was unexpected but I love the look of it.

There seems to be people going about getting info about ORAS from the demo but allow me to point towards the most important of such info : http://serza5.tumblr.com/post/100162753 ... s-oras-art

Huh, that's a far more flamboyant outfit. Going to be updating the ol' sig, Serz?

Of course, all i'm waiting for is a more HQ picture of that as the one there is rather small.

So I finally got around to playing the demo last night and..... my impressions were very surprisingly 'meh'. The gameplay itself was fantastic, I absolutely love how you can now turn full direction in normal walking mode (Before you could only go diagonal, up, left, right, down), so already this is an improvement over X and Y, they took the skates out which I also consider fairly good since I think they focused a bit too much on them in X and Y and it helped travel through towns a little too quickly (making the use for Bikes pretty pointless). Mossdeep City looked beautiful recreated, but I absolutely hate how the demo threw a random event at you and not a very fun event, I ended up just selecting 1 move and K.O.ing the opponent in a hit. The demo felt very empty and I think they could have showcased far more. For the very little it did show, it was quite pretty but the battles were jokingly easy and the shortness of it just really left a meh impression on me. I feel like they could have used a far better event for the demo honestly. I'm excited for this game regardless, I'm just saying the demo I think could have been a LOT better personally. And if I weren't a Pokemon fan this demo wouldn't convince me, luckily though, I know it's just a demo and it isn't showcasing much, and me being a huge Hoenn fan, I don't think I'm going to skip out on this. :)

Am I the only one who isn't a 100% fangirling over ORAS? I mean I love Hoenn but I'm honestly stunned how people are looking more forward to a remake than a whole new generation when X/Y came out.

I'm alive.

I was freaking out originally simply because Hoenn is my favorite region, I own all the Hoenn games so that just shows I love it to death. Though I think with Smash Bros on Wii U coming out the same day as Pokemon, can't say I'm as hyped as I was before, hehe.

I'm right with you on the demo. But if there's one thing it did right, besides the updated field mechanics, is that it makes me want the full game even more.

The difference between X/Y and ORAS is that X/Y is already out. No hype left in the tank for these two.

Plus, [CLICHE ALERT] X/Y takes place in Poké-France, thus it is easy to understand why Poké-Murricans boycotted it. [/CLICHE ALERT]

Want to know something sad? I found my Ruby cartridge today, well that's a happy thing I guess. But the sad part is that when I went to play it, it said that the internal battery had run dry :( - The game can still be played though & saved! Which is good, but you can't do any time based events now or w/e. Which isn't a big deal, unless you were super into growing berries or w/e. I just don't like the fact that the cartridges can deteriorate! I'm glad that can't happen to the newer stuff.

If you lived close to me I would be able to fix your cartridge. I did it for four cartridges already.

Very easy fix. This happened to my copy of Crystal that was given to me (by a lovely user here on this forums :p), so I simply looked at a tutorial on youtube, was good as new.

Thanks, well I might get round to that at some point! Especially if I don't get a copy of Omega Ruby
