It came from the Ragtime era, so there is a good chance it was made by them sort of people.

Um, get your history straight. Cowboys first came into existance in the 19th century. In the 1600's, they hadn't even left the original 13 colonies.

It most definitely didn't. And the piano was invented in Europe, before the idea of the cowboy hadn't been conceived.
