As we’ve been told that the large mosquito is Moskito, do you think the small mosquito might be Bzzit? I also just realised that there will probably be up to four mosquitoes in that level, depending on the number of players.

Would it be safe to assume that the ‘freaks and hostile characters’ which appear when Mr Dark steals the Great Protoon and the ‘disturbances in overall harmony, the proliferation of piranhas, giant spiders and caterpillars etc’ incurred by the Robo-Pirates’ destruction of the Heart of the World are both linked in some way to the nightmares of Bubble Dreamer?

The cave is part of the desert though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the identity of the mosquito has been confirmed by any official source, so it might as well be an addition from the journalists. I do, however, like the idea of a small, much younger Bzzit, but we'll probably have to wait until the game is released to find out.

Maybe Polokus' nightmares have a direct impact on the Heart of the World (which equivalent most likely is the Great Protoon and the Electoons), which then has a direct impact on Rayman's world.

I thought the same thing about the small mosquito

Not sure I like those red singing lums. They irritate me in all the clips!

That reminds me of the 'Eat at Joes' level from the first game, where you have to ride those balloons (?) and red Mr Skops heads along the water whilst dodging the Barracuda. How I hated that level when I first started playing the original game! Ruddy difficult, but always been a favourite level of mine.

It's fairly conceivable that the artwork above is from a similar world in the new game.

Does anyone know if there's any lives in the new game? I'd love to see a return of the little Rayman trophies.

Not a fan of the health system. It really doesn't suit Rayman, and even the first game did have a few hit points. I also think fighting would be more satisfying if the enemies were sent flying like in R1.

Other than this, I love everything I've seen so far.

I found a new interview with gameplay from the jungle level, and Shrager reveals that the skull coins which are hard to collect will open harder maps!
Here's the interview- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3tXLyii_YU
Someone should enter that information to the wiki. There's also another secret part of the jungle level revealed only in this video. Ancel says there'll be 6 regions in the game.
Hunchman, on what are you basing that the desert and cave are the same level? And why do you think the mutant daisy is the desert level's boss?

Edit: You know how, after the Tetris homage in E3, the devs said they'll include references to other games as well? Well, I just saw the interview again and noticed that Shrager says in one part (3:12) with a rotating thing that sends the characters flying and breaking a building with Livingstones, that this is their Angry birds level. This could be just a joke, but it may also be a parody.

I think he said "December, this Fall". So it means it will be before Xmas and after November. Probabily around the same release dates as the other announced games. Somewhere in the two first weeks of December. :)

Lovely gameplay footages, aaaaah I want to play iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit so badlyyyyyyyyy! X3

There was a misunderstanding, we confused the level called ‘the cave’ and the caves filled with bats (or whatever) in the desert. The plant is in fact the boss of ‘the cave’.

The PC version isn't mentioned in the article.

Wait a minute, is jeuxvideo sure about the image being taken from the Wii version? I need a confirmation.

I'm talking about this:
Aubergine ou pas, Rayman a décidé d'investir le monde entier pour son retour, ce qui inclut d'apparaître sur un maximum de consoles. Après la PS3, la 360, la Wii et dernièrement la 3DS, c'est la PS Vita qui entre dans la liste des plates-formes de jeu qui auront la chance inouïe d'accueillir Rayman Origins. Par contre, le titre devrait arriver plus tard que sur les consoles de salon, vers début 2012.
Or by google translate:
Eggplant or not, Rayman has decided to invest the world over for its return, which includes up to appear on consoles. After the PS3, the 360, Wii and recently the 3DS is the PS Vita entering the list of platforms that will play very fortunate to welcome Rayman Origins . For cons, the title should arrive later on home consoles, circa early 2012
taken from http://www.jeuxvideo.com/news/2011/0005 ... n-vita.htm

Indeed PC is not mention explicitly, but I guess we can include it in the category of "home consoles" right?

That doesn’t make any sense; we’ve been told numerous times that the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii versions of the game will be released in late 2011, not early 2012. I can only assume it’s a mistranslation, which is meant to say that the handheld versions will be released later than the home console versions. The sentence you highlight says absolutely nothing about the possibility that a PC version will be released.
