Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day
+ I'm enjoying playing Splinter Cell the last few days, it's a really fun game.
+Seeing Rayman mentioned in it just made my day.
It looks much better on PC, but since the controls suck on the PC version and don't allow a controller to really work properly, I'm playing it on original Xbox.

- Last day of vacation is today.
+ I got to do what I wanted today which was checking out the different characters for Mario Kart Wii and one of them is May from Pokemon.

Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day
+ I spent the entirety of yesterday after 12 with family. Had lunch, with coffee afterwards to celebrate my sister's first paycheck.
+ I'm not discouraged one bit that she has a job before me, I'm quite proud of her. I just have to put more effort into making myself presentable and searching.
+ Cooked something real for the first time in awhile, I'll talk about it in the food thread later (if i can find it
)
+ The night was watching Coco, The Emperor's New Groove, Hercules, and Balto. Enjoyed myself a lot that I didn't mind I was doing laundry at the time.
I had a really great day yesterday despite not being on my computer, and it kinda reminded me of my younger days when I had nothing to do when my parents had my games on schoolweeks. Maybe I should have more days like this where I'm not always glued to my computer.

+ Finally spring break!
+ Planning on completing Rayman 3 on PC too since I'm currently at the Hoodlum Headquarters.

Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day
+ I managed to speed patch the Splinter Cell games and GTA San Andreas so they don't run too fast on my modded Xbox.
My modded original Xbox has a 1GHz CPU and 128MB RAM, vs the original 733MHz CPU with 64MB RAM. Turns out the games have a 32-bit integer value (4 bytes in a hex editor) which states the CPU clock speed of the game, setting that value in games to 00 CA 9A 3B (1000000000 in 32-bit integer) is setting the value to 1000000000Hz which is 1GHz. Kind of cool how it works like that.
Everyone has to have those little nostalgic family reunions from time to time.

But what about programming then? The Jonster wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2019 4:44 pm Maybe I should have more days like this where I'm not always glued to my computer.![]()

+ Very true. Yesterday I talked with my aunt for a while and we really enjoyed it! I love my aunt's sense of humor and we laughed and everything, it was really fun!
+ This actually happened yesterday, but I managed to beat Razorbeard on PC now too after beating him on both PS1 and PS2!
-/+ While I like the PC version's variant of the Razorbeard Grolgoth boss battle, I liked the PS1 version's one more, as the tunnel version for the fight was harder and a bit less repetitive, though I love the PC version's one too, especially when he climbs up with the Grolgoth and you get to fight him up there, that is actually really cool.
+/- It is tough on the PC version too though, and it's fun, but how you have to stabilize yourself with Ctrl all the time is already enough, but on top of that, the red homing bullets behind you and how you have to dodge them if you don't want to redo the entire second phase of Razorbeard fight distracts even more and it's very hard to focus on both things.
+ Played some Menezis too and discovered how it's a really good, fun but hard game.
+ Getting closer to getting to Omniscient level too.

+ Went to the beach this afternoon, spent all day swimming and relaxing.
+/- Also had a nice dinner, though it wasn't so nice when it turns out I spent 21$ instead of just 7. Note to self: inquire about the menu next time.

+ Forgot to say this yesterday, but I just went on a leisure trip yesterday!
+ It was amazing, we got to see lots and lots of trees in a huge garden and there was the name of the tree written at the bottom, it was absolutely magical! They are gorgeous! Plus, it's really interesting to learn this stuff and I did learn a few things from the trip because of it!

- Fifo is making me see unrecognized characters on my computer and phone.
(A search shows it as an Apple logo emote)
+ I want to try some stuff with Linux again, but I need to decide on a distro and stick with it.

Haha, it just shows up as a rectangle on my devices.

Same, including the #dream-forest channel's icon for me on the Rayman Together Discord server both when viewing from my Android tablet and my dad's computer which is Windows.
+ Beaten The Horrible Machine in Hoodlum Headquarters today and completed Hoodlum Headquarters! I love the Horrible Machine, it's such a fun boss and really enjoyable and everything, plus the theme of it suits the tension in the fight too and the boss itself.
- I did have some trouble with it at first though as that red rectangle that goes up on the bar always managed to drop and I was trying my best to figure out what was the problem but I couldn't, I was stuck and just couldn't figure it out.
+ Until, well until I watched how Haruka did it and the way she did it was much easier and much more logical than the strategy I used, literally all I had to do was to charge up my punch, release and then repeat that over and over again until it was defeated.
- Sometimes I'm dumb because I sometimes tend to not think logically and that was so obvious too!
+ Oh well, I beat it now and that's all that matters. I'll try to think more logically next time it comes to stuff like this.

I remember how I used to strafe while charging for that boss, which made my hand really sore. Then I found out (here I guess) that it's easier and better to run around!Aaron wrote: Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:10 pm Same, including the #dream-forest channel's icon for me on the Rayman Together Discord server both when viewing from my Android tablet and my dad's computer which is Windows.

Believe me I've made the same mistake and running around makes it so much easier.PluMGMK wrote: Tue Apr 23, 2019 10:31 pm I remember how I used to strafe while charging for that boss, which made my hand really sore. Then I found out (here I guess) that it's easier and better to run around!![]()
Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day
Haruka did it while strafing though and I actually find that a lot easier.
