The Amazing Spider-Man. Good effort but it didn't quite live up it's name.

I had a Terminator marathon. I'll just give each a quick summary and mark out of ten.
The Terminator: Cracking good genre merger 9/10
Terminator 2: Probably the greatest sequel of all time 10/10
Terminator 3: A dissapointment, but not terrible 6.5/10
Terminator Salvation: Very different to the other movies, but not bad nonetheless 6/10

I was just watching the film Mirrormask because it looked surreal and thought that would be kinda cool. I stopped watching it because it was so surreal I didn't have a clue what was going on!

The Amazing Spiderman. I thought the first three were enjoyable, but this blew them out of the water. The storyline was very, very well structured, and the first half especially portrayed a relateable Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. They probably could not have picked a better actor. Every single inflection of his acting was perfect. The second half was much more action oriented, and for an action movie, it was especially creative with an extremely immersive lighting/colour scheme. I really want a sequel that can explore more of Peter's character. Even though they already did that a lot, they just made him into such an interesting person.

MirrorMask could have been good, but it was ruined by its weird writing and pathetic budget. Interesting art style and crappy CGI galore. A shallow film.

I find it highly unlikely that The Amazing Spider-Man blows Spider-Man 2 out of the water.

The thing is, Spider-Man 2 is almost a modern classic of sorts. Everyone knows it and liked it, so even if the new one were better, it would have a hard time being approved over the old series. I personally like the new style much better.

Like I said during record day, "The amazing spider-man" film was made to bring the comic book character of spider-man his own movie, as he was originally part of the avenger's (he was much more fun-loving). The Hulk is being re-made as well to go with his new actor and then "The Avengers" is having a sequel.

I know a possible film for Deadpool is in development, which would be interesting being he breaks the forth wall...

Anyway, I just watched Bambi for the first time today. :)

Rock of Ages and Ted. Both are great movies for very different reasons.

Look's like it :P
Bambi was good actually, lots of scenic parts and it was really funny. I had that song "little April shower" stuck in my head for ages though...

The Lord of the Rings extended trilogy. 10/10, it's still as good as ever. :)

I've had that song stuck in my head for about a year now. The nice thing is, it's an enjoyable thing to get stuck in the head!

Apocalipse Now. One of the best movies ever made, with a great cast which pull off great performances, a tense atmosphere and spectacular visuals.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to double-post if your last post was ages ago (I hope so), so I apologise if you're not allowed to.

Anyways, I saw The Dark Knight Rises and, although I liked The Dark Knight more, I still thought it was very good and it was a satisfying closure to the trilogy.
