I don't trust The Sun, they made a similar scare recently with the 3DS.
Now lets actually have input from epileptics this time!

Actually, if there's one Mario game I had to point out that had a serious problem with flashing lights, it would be SMB2/Doki Doki Panic during the fight against Wart. Every time you hit him the screen would flash every opposite colour for a whole second.

@Spiral

Nevermind, I'm just pointing the fact there are indeed some Nintendo games that trigger me motion sickness and dizzyness faster than other games. I don't like tabloids either, but I think they are true at the same time in the fact that titles like Double Dash, Sunshine and Starfox Adventures trigger symptoms of epilepsy (it does trigger to me quicker than usual). :tssk:

(We know that most previous generations are against videogames for several reasons, it even reminds me an insolit thing I've read about a psychiatric saying that people with more than 20 years old playing games is not normal :boon:)

I don't know if there's a real trustworthy source pointing the same thing by the way.

@Master

Even the 3DS? Come on! :pfff: Not everybody can play with the 3D turned on for a long time, they aren't forced to play in that mode either but the games I have for the 3DS I haven't been having problems so far with the 3D displaying. Its like nothing happened to me.

Most of what comes out from the Sun's mouth is pure vomit but one thing's for sure you can guarantee a nice big feeling of sickness when you play the VIRTUALBOY, again another Nintendo mess. It would be an absolute charm if they actually got Wario Land VB on the 3DS eShop because then I'd be able to play it without feeling ill after just 5 minutes.

Other than that and having the 3DS's 3D on without my glasses I haven't really had many issues with flashing lights, colours too bright or anything.

Indeed, you will play it in 3d for like... a pair of hours (because it's fucking awesome) and then turn the 3d off to rest your eyes a bit, but there's no real problem with 3d, no headaches, no dizziness, you will get used to it like... in 3 days.

Now, I don't know anything about the Sun, but if it is one of those things that bashes everything just to get attention, then they can fuck themselves. That reminds me PETA, remember the time when they were complaining about Mario using a "Poor Tanooki dog's skin" in Super Mario 3d Land? I wouldn't be surprised if they later complained about Rayman "harming poor blue toads with his slaps"

It just depends how your eyes are. People with 20-20 usually would have no problem with it, but for a good half the population at least, it gets severely annoying after just a short while. It's different from stereoscopic and chroma 3D in that your eyes have to remain at a very specific focus and aren't allowed to deviate, as opposed to stereoscopic/chroma where your eyes can relax and the lens shutters do the work for you.

Wait, they did that? I think my day just got funnier. I'm searching this up.

@Stace Tabloids can go to the hell for me. I wasn't supporting their article by the way, I was just pointing there are indeed Nintendo games that are problematic in terms of patterns of light and colour pallete.

I can play Super Mario Galaxy 2 for hours, while after more than 1/2 hours I start to feel sicky with Sunshine.

That's why I use the sunglasses you can obtain in the game - it makes the colours darker and easier on the eyes. Have you got them?

I used them in the beginning of the game, but I have more than 80 Shine Sprites at the moment so I believe it is useless now. I'm trying to see if I can collect all the 120 so I can save the game in the shelf and continue to catch the Green Stars in Galaxy 2.

Until more news about Rayman Legends come, it is hard to avoid a off-topic conversation.

The city gets brighter, but I didn't think it would get so bright for you that even the sunglasses don't work. You sure your TV's alright? :P

I'd say they're being really hush hush with this one at the moment, unless SD Comic Con has anything to offer afterwards.

Check this new Wii U trailer, created particularly to attract hardcore gamers

Meh... it is ok, but it needed more Rayman and less Batman.

Looks good. But if I saw a new old style Crash Bandicoot platformer for Wii U I'll pee my pants.

No, it isn't a TV problem, Rayfan. Remember that the PAL TVs aren't the same thing as the NTSC TVs, plus I'm playing the game in a third TV and it doesn't avoid the symptoms. I also am cautious enough to setup the TV to the brightness and contrast that I desire.

Actually they are, the resolution and regional inputs are just different.

I thought it looked fantastic. But Sergio, take note that Legends wouldn't have fit into this trailer style at all. This trailer is showing off technologically impressive things, which even Pikmin is, but Legends is quite the opposite of.

Yes, it looked fantastic, but what looks more obscure and technologically impressive? footage of Rayman Legends with it's new improved engine? Or New Super Mario Bros U, which has the same exact scheme of the wii version, only with better resolution? :| I'm not complaining about why Rayman got like 6 seconds of appearance, but because the way how it was shown: you can't even see Rayman, you can barely see a purple blob with feet flying through several rings with fire, and then when rayman's face is about to be seen, BOOM, the scene cuts and then more batman... it's disappointing.

Neither really. It's very hard to find footage for them, because neither Legends nor NSMBU are technologically impressive at all. Sure Origins and Legends are beautiful, but the technology is far from impressive, as they would have no problem running on even a Gamecube.

Me too Crash Bandicoot is my favourite game series of all time. Anyway Plum Juice should be in Legends. It is funny what happens to Globox when he drinks it in R3.

There was a distinct lack of plums in RO.
I would have loved to have seen Plum riding.
