First of all, I apologize for my radical statements and especially the way I said everything (I said balls a lot of times...). I will obviously not serve any Arab countries in wars against Europe or America, I will not spit on Europe, as you said, when it goes crumbling down, and I will most certainly not be a suicide bomber. I wanted to correct you on something- I have never grown in an eastern country. My eastern heritage is just as much a part of me as my European heritage. Israel is a very western nation, and no one here hates Europe as I do. The reason I hate western culture so much is because I have grown in it. I have learned the truth about western culture by opening my heart to other cultures. Have you ever read a book coming from a country east of Germany? Have you ever studied Eastern philosophy? Have you ever took the time to learn eastern history? China. India. Japan. All those countries have amazing stories and have brought this world so much more than any European country ever did. What sickens me so in European and generally western thinking is the way they... we, are all so full of ourselves. I'm sorry, I just can't express my point in different words. We are so full of ourselves and sure that our way is correct, that instead of trying to learn the ways of the others, the Asian, the Africans, the natives of every new country, we simply destroy their culture, take the smart inventions and, in some cases, completely wipe out a proud people with astonishing accomplishments. Savages and barbarians are two words that immediately light a red light in my head- eurocentrism. China is my best example for this scenario- they had amazing insights on spiritual truths (read one chapter of the Tao Te Ching), they invented amazing things (paper, gun powder, the printing press are all just a few examples out of the top of my head), some say they were even the first to discover America. I got this article last year for history class, out of a book by this renowned Israeli historian, and it talked about the accomplishments of the west as opposed to the east. You would have puked if you had heard what he had to say. And fortunately, as opposed to my story with the cop, I remember some things he said- he said that the west had colonized so many places and discovered the whole world because eastern societies lacked the enthusiasm for exploring. As I said before, the Chinese probably discovered America before the Europeans, and if not, they at least traveled like this historian says. Regarding architectural accomplishments of Europeans this historian noted in his work, I had Islam to counter his statements- the most beautiful building ever built, and I personally can testify, is the Taj Mahal, a feat accomplished by none other than the Shia Muslims. I have been to Notre Dam and there is absolutely no comparing between them. I have seen the Big Ben and walked in Westminster Abbey, and they pale in comparison to the Taj. And I ask myself- "who dared appoint this man as an historian?!"
