I'll just let it go past me :p (unless it starts to bother me too much)

I've got a brilliantly improved gameplay video to upload tomorrow. Now everything on-ground is entirely controlled and looks the exact same as Rayman 2 (aside from animation differences of course). I've spent the last week ironing out all the bugs, half of which were fixed today due to a little revelation I had.

Awesome! Also, did you smooth out the camera turns a bit? I found a bit annoying (but that's just me-no criticism intended) how sharply it turned.
As long as Wario truly is sorry, I'll let it go past. But if he isn't he's gonna be hearing a lot from me... (I seem to be getting a more and more easy person to aggravate, I guess spending seven years 5 days a week, 6 hours a day with a bunch of idiotic morons who are so full of themselves can change a person...I'm surprised my self-control has extended this far.)

Yup, the camera is almost the exact same as Rayman 2. The dilemma I'm facing is that if I turn up the movement response speed (meaning how fast it follows the player), the more jerky the turning is (because it's set to stand a certain position behind Rayman, so it tries to move behind him faster making it seem jerky). At the moment it's more on the less-jerky side but it follows Rayman not all too fast (resulting in the camera trailing a further distance from Rayman than preferred when running). I'll probably shift it a little more over to the jerky & caught-up style, but in all, it's far better than before!

Oh boy, you'll love high school then (sarcasm intended).
I do feel as if we let Wariofan off a little easy though. I mostly didn't want any antagonism anymore.

Well guys, if Wario apologised, let's let it slide. We don't want FAB happening again. n.n And the videos sound cool Rayfan :3

...Ffff, I KNEW somebody was going to say this. FREAKING KNEW.

Cool, RayFan, to read you've made a lot of improvements. Now I do wonder where that jerked camera movement comes from - there must be some way of smoothing it out. You'll get it, I'm sure!
Can't wait to see the vid!

And heeere we go!
There was a small problem though, whenever I stood still while recording he'd flip around after about a second. It only happened while recording.

Nice work Rayfan! It's interesting to see how far you've come over the years.

Wow, nice! I also like the standstill Raymans that seem to be hanging around in every video - they look like deactivated droid replicas of him or something.
I can only see one small flaw in the video, aside from the mentioned flipping thing, and that's regarding the running animation. You see, when he runs, it seems to me like he's moving a tad too fast for the speed at which his feet are hitting the ground. It's more like he's scrolling that actually running, if you know what I mean. I don't know exactly how I can describe it, but that's what I noticed. I also saw it's not quite as noticable when he's going sideways, only when his back is turned to the camera.
Anyway, great job already; it's really nice to see some of the fluid animation all ready for the final product already in place.
And now this is a question I ask frequently, but what are you doing right now? Is it level design, story plotting, programming or animation? Are there any levels outside of the Dream Forest already under construction, or do you first want to master the worldbuilding and then take that knowledge towards all other areas?

Ah, thank you very much for pointing that out. I'll speed up his animation a little bit. I wish there was some way to do that within the engine though.
At the moment, since I'm mostly satisfied with what I've done so far in the game mechanics (maybe I'll work on helicopter now as well), I'll continue building onto the Dream Forest and into the linear aspect that splits off from the hub.

I always looked up to you when it came to this kind of stuff, then again our methods are very different.

I noted that it had trouble exporting to CE3 for some reason. I have some rigged animations in Max but I can't export them. I wanna export them!

I've got the programming under control so far. Perhaps in the future.
