Oh yeah, I saw that fight on youtube. I prefer the other version though, I think.

The hardest part was the shell ride in The Sanctuary Of Stone And Fire, because if you move even a little, you die! And there is this annoying path with a lum to the left just to torture you to try to get it!

Well I had difficulties to ride the shell on the emulator, while on PSX I did that with so much ease... Oo

No, he was talking about a level in Tomb Raider ;)

Is the PSOne version different enough to bother playing it, if I've already got the PC version and Revolution?
Certainly. The Hall of Doors has been redesigned a bit, there's a cameo appearance from some antitoons, the final battle is completely different, there's only 800 lums, there's a bunch of new dialogue (including conversations with Axel, Umber and Foutch), there's a 2D bonus level in Rayman 1-style (which is from the cancelled 2D version of Rayman 2), the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire has been heavily redesigned, and has a new boss (a Ninja Henchmen), each level has a loading screen showing a part of that level (as far as I can remember), the First Mask is found at the end of the Whale Bay, and probably a few more things that have slipped my mind. So yes, play it.

There are also loading of character/objects animations. :)

PSX is a pretty good version to be played too.

Rayman 2 Psone was the first Rayman game I ever owned. I'm convinced that it was a good game and still is, but that final boss is just ludicrously hard! :confus:

I got Rayman DS for Christmas last year and finished it last month. Even though there are a few bugs in the port I'd have to say that I enjoyed it as much as, if not more than, R2 PSone. I mean, the Power Fist just blew me away when I first picked one up!

So yeah. If you want R2 pure and simple with no adjustments to it, get the N64, DS, PS2 or DC version.
But if you want a real challenge, get the PSone version.

The first one I got was the PC version which I loved it. I loved even more the PS2 version. I got surprised with the differences of the PSX version and I liked to play the DS version. But Ubisoft could have done a bigger effort (Now talking about Rayman DS) on smoothing the sprites and graphics, correcting the big ammount of bugs, improve the controls precision and having done a better design of the touchscreen area because the function afterall is for nothing (at least for Right-Handeds because it can be literally useful for Left-Handeds).

Huh? The PS2 version completely changed it! The DC version had enhanced scenery and the Globox village. The N64, DS and PC versions are R2 pure and simple with no adjustments to it.

Yeah, I realised that a few minutes ago. The reason I had the DC version mentioned in that list was because it was pretty close to being unchanged and most people like that version the most. I can't remember why I put the PS2 version in there though.

I had the PC version for many years, then I got the DS version, which wasn't as good, then recently I got Revolution, and was surprised at how many changes there were..

Anyway, I can't find Rayman 2 Psone for anything I can afford at the moment (I owe my parents alot of money XD)

It's not illegal... Car Boot sales don't sell copied games, just second hand ones.

By "copy of the game", as I'm sure you know, she means one churned out by UbiSoft.
