I wonder whether it would be possible to code up a RM remake with decent online mode. After all, loads of programmers claim online Mario with interplayer interactions is almost impossible. On the other hand, this is a 3D game, so collisions should be rarer.

I replayed also the Electric Tunnel to beat my Target record, and like this I already got a 100% save file. Thanks, Rayrobi!

As i was saying, it's something with the times. Anyway, good work!

It is pretty strange to be honest, not to mention you aren't forced to collect all the Popolopoï in Rayman Rush.

And that you have more than 2 mins at the start and you can get even more by shooting the popolopoi.

Which makes the Popolopoï existance almost unecessary. That's Ubisoft Shangai.

Anyway, shall we make a Rayman M competition based on the time records? I think it would be a good idea. And i would even host it.

There's actually a scores topic that died with the time. Let me see if I bump it.

Gimme a link to it if you found it.

Also, there should be either a leaderboard or just a simple ranklist for every rayman game, the problem is, that it would require quite much programming skills.

The problem with an RM leaderboard is that it requires a great deal of trust. Unlike R3 where the player is given a unique code, we have to rely on the player's good will to post genuine lap times.

I think that's why the competitions never really caught on. And it ended up just being friendly rivalry between Holy Crap and myself, which is possibly the better form of competition anyway.

You could technically limit leaderboard to the PC version and make it eat .SAV files, no? (Probably wouldn't take much time to hack those too, but still.)

Screenshots would be a more realistic approach, but a one-console compo is as good as a chocolate teapot.

I guess it can be hacked and used by some sort of leaderboard, but first some has to hack it to the leaderboard can understand it. The only problem with that is that if the hacking method would get public by someone somehow, then there would be many fake scores.

Does anyone have backup of the Rayman M soundtrack? I was looking to download some of the ambiance from it, but Raytunes' links lead to 404 pages.

Check the RayTunes forum, I believe Droolie uploaded a ZIP archive of the tracks.

Why was the North American release of Rayman M(Arena) panned by critics, websites like IGN and Gamespot reviewed the game at 4.7 and 5.1 calling it a bad, awful, and mediocre attempt at milking the Rayman franchise concluding it as shallow trash. The game is not the greatest of competitive games but it isn't all bad, I do think the game was a little "lacking" though.
Did the overseas release of Rayman M have a more positive reception?

To be honest I never read european reviews about Rayman M. In my opinion as a fan, it is a great spin-off game that can make you entertained for some good hours, especially with Rayman fan friends. Now as a gamer in general, I wouldn't recommend it to non-Rayman fans.

Agreed. As a spin-off it is great, one of the best, but as a game in general it's pretty shallow and falls somewhere between the line of mediocre and overall decent. For Rayman fans it's a blast, but it is sub-par for most others. I'd highly recommend it as a good party game though. Personally, I enjoyed it more than Mario-Kart and CTR.

The highest I've seen it rated was 70% in Europe, saying it's not bad but disappointing. I may or may not still have the review if I hadn't cut it all up.
