I don't know. We have only 6 weeks summer holidays in every school in Germany I think. I admire the US school for having 3 whole months...

Hmm, six weeks is the norm here, but we start in mid-July and conclude in September. However, when you're in Year 11 and 13, you tend to get longer holidays due to the timing of national exams, once they're out of the way, there's no point coming in, as the courses are wholly complete.

When I was going to school, 3 months was for me from first grade in elementary school to the last year of High School.

I have this idea for Record Day. I just created a Ting account and I'm wondering if using it during Record Day is allowed. I was thinking of using my PC for my regular account and my phone for my Ting account. I'm not expecting it to be okay, I'm just curious.

So you'd be posting on your phone on Records Day? Surely that's going to be a pain in the arse. Unless you don't have access to a PC?

Well, not really, I don't think. Or at least, it wouldn't get you the Ting bonuses for participating in RD. I remember Marklar last year almost didn't receive his rewards because it was thought he was my Ting account (we were posting from the same IP address as he was in my house at the time).
I'm not sure how 'valid' the posts made by Ting accounts are regarded to be and whether or not they'll count towards the post total.

But it'll certainly add to the crazed hilarity that is Record Day, so when it comes to actual Record Day spirit, I'd say go for it!

If you're not using it as a way to abuse the system, such as avoiding bans, cheating in polls/forum games or to gain more tings than you could otherwise, then you're good. But that means you would have to only post with only one account during record day (either your normal or ting account), as posting with both would earn you extra tings, as there's a participation bonus.

No we're still sort of in limbo. It's either going to be July or early August I believe. I've been asking in here, but since I haven't had a reply from the powers that be, I don't think it's been decided on any-further.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering about. I think I'll make it easier on myself and stick with the one account and ignore the Ting account, only using it as a Ting dump.
