But then this would mean the Rayman 3 enemies also don't die (because they 'return' when the level is replayed) - which is obviously not correct.

Each time you beat Axel, his head gets crushed under the stalactite and he falls backwards into the water before evaporating, but he comes back! Whenever you beat Foutch and he disappears in a storm of flames, he comes back! This is proof that they did not die! :)
It's just a proof that the designers were too lazy (or didn't have time enough). They didn't make the bosses disappear after you kill them. And why do you love Axel and Foutch so much?

It's not to do with being lazy, it's just unnecessary to remove boss battles. Besides, the bosses would need to be faced again in a new savegame anyway...

But think about it like this: If they had removed the boss battles, then Spiral wouldn't have made this crazy theory.

How would you get back in TSOSAF if Foutch doesn't trowh you down. The spiraldoor is there

Ah, but Rayman actually revisits R2 levels. In R3, when you return to a previously completed level, you're rewinding time back to when those events actually happened. In R2, you're just walking back to the places where they happened.

@El Dango: Joshua means this: Why does Rayman lose his flying power at the end of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, unless Foutch punches him again? (In the PS1 version, Foutch actually DOES punch him again)

Can't be right, because 'revisit' clearly means 'visit again'. Naturally the same applies for R2, only we don't 'revisit' the levels.

Foutch doesn't even appear in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire. -___-

He does in Revolution, because their names get switched. And when you replay a level in R3, the cutscenes, the dialogue, the story and everything else are the same. It's as if you've traveled back to the TIME when these things happened. Unlike in R2, where Rayman only travels back to the PLACE where the things happened.

Does anyone here have a brain advanced enough to understand me?

Our problem is that we HAVE brains.

@ El Dango & spiraldoor: The world Foutch is battled is called The Lava Sanctuary, in Rayman Revolution.

@ spiraldoor: Do you really think the worlds would make sense if all the gems, Hoodlums, bosses and cinematics were removed?

Why did you write El Dango? I wasn't the one who thought that Foutch appeared in TSOSAF.

You think that when you replay an R3 level after finishing the game, it's actually chronolagically after the final battle? You do realize that that would mean R3 is an endless loop, and therefore R1 and R2 never happened :tssk: do not be silly, now...

You can replay an R3 level when you finish the level.

Sorry, i was confused, i mean BTSFRAL, i haven't played Rayman 2 for two months

I agree with Spiraldoor, the hoodlums should stand some where else and the bosses should not come back again. It's unlogical and this is perfectly programmable :?

About the gems, they should stay, because if they wouldn't you would not be able to inprove scores.

My point is: Rayman does NOT travel back in time when he revisits a level in the hall of doors. Therefore, when he goes back to a level in R2 PS1 and finds Axel and Foutch still alive...They Did Not Die...

The bosses are worth alot of points, if they took them away it would be ridiculous. That's why everything is the same, it's all to do with the scoring system. As for Mr Brainless' latest theory, the bosses aren't removed because of laziness, and it's one of the many things fixed up in revolution.

Very good point

But my point is, that Foutch should not be removed or you would not get down to the spiral door :D
