High school years are over for me... I've already passed the "baccalauréat" ("advanced level" in UK), and I'll have to work hard in the preparatory class in sciences for two years.

"Baccalauréat" means the Bachelor level as far as I know.

I know, but his age (and mine) is about the average age at which you finish high school. Getting a bachelor should take at least three or four years... Probably it's all different in the world of the frenchies...

In Russia, you usually finish high school at the age of 17-18, then you have problems with army, if you go there, you have to be there for 2 years, and then 3-4 years to reach Bachelor, or without army if you're lucky enough.

Well, I was born in 1988 and the regular birth year to have the bachelor level is 1897... Only one less year...
