It's the evil Rayman clone. Not sure he is ever named in Origins, but in Jungle Run he is referred to as "Dark Rayman", IIRC.

I think he's referred to as Raymesis in Rayman Legends. This whole evil clone business is some pure trolling on behalf of Ubisoft.

dr_st is correct. The "Raymesis" name is not revealed in Origins. Bubble Dreamer calls him "DarkRay."

Well, Razorbeard eats it before The Bayou, just like in the other versions.

Later, after Rayman releases him from the mind control at the Tomb of the Ancients, Clark suggests that Rayman looks inside the storage room, and in the same chest where the Lum Radar is, Rayman finds a yellow lum. Upon picking it up, both the grand total is increased to 1000 again, so we know this is the 1000th lum.

I don't recall the game offering any explanations as to what happened to the lum in between, but there are all sorts of things I don't remember so well from Revolution, so I may have missed it.
