- I didn't sleep enough last night, part of it was my fault for not going to bed sooner.
- I also still didn't do the rank up battle I needed in Splatoon 3, though at this rate I might just say fuck it and let it go down. Season ends tonight.
+ I'm looking forward to the new Splatana Stamper kit and the Enperry Splat Dualies.
+ I'll also be playing Big Run that starts tomorrow night with one of <'s friends and his girlfriend and friend. < thinks it'll be a blast. < is sure this friend will be streaming it on Twitch too.

I stopped caring about my Skyrim stuff for the time being because I got tired of them still updating the damn Special Edition since it kept involving updating a couple of things. It's a freaking old game, please stop updating and breaking my mods!

The only one that actually isn't an issue is the VR edition that I've modded. Lemme tell you, that one is probably my favorite just because of the immersion it brings, and with all the high res texture mods and lighting system mods... Whoa boy! I just wish my VR headset was an OLED display because I could appreciate the beauty more easily.

I've always found Skyrim to be meh on LCD screens since the scenes in my game can get pretty dark and OLED's infinite contrast just always looked stunning even in the darkest scenes, where LCD is too washed out. (I know Stereo Steo will easily be able to confirm this with me. )

Yeah, I can definitely confirm this. It's so confirmed, that I literally bought another OLED when I went abroad and seen it on sale.

I know that IPS screens have nice colours and viewing angles, and that VA screens have decent contrast (some can also have decent colours), but OLED combines both of those and extends the contrast ratio to infinite while having really good viewing angles too. Watching a movie on an OLED in a dark room for example is amazing, even if they can't get as bright as those QLED TV's. OLED is still superior in my opinion, having self lit pixels instead of a backllight etc., with the only downside being burn in. Of course, that doesn't happen if you're sensible and don't leave the TV on max brightness on the same channel or UI game elements for several hours every single day for months / years. By the time you would even start getting a hint of burn in with sensible use of the TV, you would have probably already considered buying a new TV by then anyway, as it will have been several years. Plus, many LCD TV's will have had backlight issues by then anyway.

I would be interested in having an OLED monitor for my computer at some point in the future also, but for now, I'm still settling for IPS. My TV is OLED, and my phone is AMOLED, so I'm spoiled for good contrast and colour reproduction due to this. The unfortunate thing about this though, is how my laptop has a really crappy quality IPS screen with only 62% sRGB coverage, so it looks like absolute crap when I use it in comparison. I'm like, where's the colour?

I can relate to you on the broken sleep, I keep feeling restless due to it and lacking energy / motivation to do things. Also, good thing you no longer have the headache ofc.

- I haven't gotten anything done at all this week. And it didn't help that I had to spend a lot more time on here during the middle of the week!
+/- Been helping mom with decorating (via shopping for craft stuff) the past couple days. Great, but it also leaves me too tired to do anything else.

Sometimes if I know too many months had passed since my last playthrough, I have to begrudgingly go through the process of fixing my mods or reinstalling them all completely, fresh save start and everything, just to get them to work with my danged game because either the game or one of my mods had updated since then... Don't even get me started on the process of troubleshooting mods lol. Nothing discourages me more from wanting to just play already, some of my months of not playing can be attributed to that. I know it's my own danged fault because I messed up somewhere in the mod load order or compatibilities but dang, it can be a real discourager sometimes.

Skyrim VR though? It's so much fun. When I'm in the mood for playing VR that is. It's one of the few games I've played on VR that were truly so immersive.

I can clearly tell you share the same pain I do regarding that, though fortunately I haven't had anything really truly save breaking, I've been able to go back with my selection thankfully. Not that I remember where I last left off and might want to somewhat start from scratch anyway.

I think I had more issues dealing with Nexus Mod Manager in ways, especially being unable to restore some mods from one system to another. As much as I kind of hate it, I feel things have been more successful with Vortex Mod Manager itself. Though right now I've stupidly been using both. One for VR and the other for Special Edition. NMM is currently in use for Skyrim VR.

Yeah I get it, especially when you gotta be in the mood for it. I used mods to bring the player model back in so I could see my outfit or arms when I'm in VR to make it a bit more immersive.

It's just so much fun to honestly simply run around in Skyrim in VR, it's a huge place. I kinda wanna go back to it now.

As for the day as of now goes...
- So far I'm still hungry, I am waiting to get lunch but I have to wait for the crane to offload a large piece of equipment off a semi-truck trailer still out in front of our building.

Ahahaha... Hey Hoodcom... remember this from a week ago? Well, the madlads went ahead and did it. Bethesda updated Skyrim: SE again. My game was indeed brokie. Wouldn't open because of "broken mod dll's". Thanks, Bethesda! Had to download and install something called "Address Library" for SKSE which seemingly worked, but now I gotta wait for one of my mod authors to finish fixing the broken dll's for their mod. All in due time, I'm sure. SKSE was quick to fix their stuff too so, I'm sure I'll get everything working again in no time, but for now I gotta wait.

+ After taking a mini-break I'm back to writing more fanfic today.
+ Was inspired to write by a reader who was in turn inspired by my first chapter so much that they started writing their own story, too. Gaw dayum that feels good.
