Why does Globox keep saying 'Dashes Glutes' or something? He says it at the start of TLS and once again after you meet the Hoodlock protected by the Hoodoo in HH.

I think you mean ‘Gaseous Glutes’.

It must be a personal expression.

Also, sometimes when you hit him he says something like

'OO eee aa oo au au gaseous glutes toad toad!' :|

I also seem to recall Toots saying ‘Will the incredible blue Glute make his way to reception’ or something along those lines while trying to lure Globox into the trap, but that was several years ago and may be a false recollection. I also think Globox said ‘Even Spider-Glute can’t do this!’ while floating, and Gumsi calls him a ‘stupid toad’, which underlines the ‘gaseous Glutes toad toad’ thing somewhat.

So could Globox be some kind of species called a Glute maybe?
Beat r3 again last night! :mryellow:

That is what people generally believe. But I remember a number of members of the Pirate Community arguing about that a while back, saying how the evidence wasn't enough, how 'glute' is another word for 'rear end', etcetera.

But I still think he's a glute.

I think the whole 'Globox is a Glute' thing was discussed in some other thread a while back... I'm inclined to think he IS one personally, though I remember the consensus reached was that glutes were a species of... bird? :? Maybe I've had too much 'special' maté.

EDIT: Just saw the above post. Why am I always getting ninja'd?! WHY?!
Globox is said to belong to a species called ‘glutes’, but this has not been officially confirmed. It is possible that the term refers to a different species of creatures in the Glade of Dreams.
According to the files Drolpiraat found on the Rayman 3 disc, the Gong rung by the Knaaren emits a sound extremely similar to that of a screaming baby Glute.

This is quite a coincidence if the Globoxes aren’t Glutes. How many creatures are referred to as ‘babies’ in the Rayman series?

At the same time, the gong sounds nothing like the wailing baby Globoxes from R2, imlpying that glutes are a different species. (I still think Globox is a Glute though. )

I'm more turned to the possibility that Globox is a glute. From the word "glutton", someone who eats a lot.

How do you reconcile that with all the references to Glutes made by or about Globox?

I don't; I agree with you, as stated. :| I simply pointed out an issue with your particular argument.

I did not say that you disagreed with me. I was merely countering the issue you raised with my argument.

Oh - woops. :oops2: It seems I always get the wrong end of the stick.
Anyhoo, my issue before was with Ubi's description, not the references to glutes. That said, I actually listened to the bawling babies again today - incidentally, if you echo and drag out their wails, it does sound a bit like a gong, though rather high-pitched. Oh the humanity.

I hardly completed this game with my friend to 90 %. We'd can't defeat Reflux so easily.

You mean the one with the pointy end?

What's that thing at the end of HH? Rayman goes up the wooden path and then he sees it and then the cutscene starts.
