I'm fixing your post
I'd say this always happens everywhere. Paellas from Valencia aren't as good as others, for example.

Yes, a party... I hope it's not for something serious!

I can't see anything negative here... You don't waste any time or money. Win win in my books

+/- maybe stores here should take that example! Although this could be a potential problem if you discard your receipt or don’t get one at all.

it’s just self checkout that’s gated. Also, if the printer shits itself the staff can override the gate for you

Ah I see, glad to know there's a foolproof situation in that kind of scenario. It sounds a lot better than having someone stand next to the exits to try and hide the fact that sensors don't actually work :oops2:

Why were they laughing anyway? I know it’s often hard not to laugh in a serious time but they gotta hold it together while saying something as serious as that!

That must be as frustrating as having to switch the language every single time you wanna play a game!

I never had issues with tourism over here, obviously I don't like those stupid ones who vandalize monuments..
I am very happy that people still visit my city to this day to admire its history and see what it has to offer, I just don't like how some people take advantage of tourists by offering low quality food and souvenirs at high prices, but this happens in all countries..

Maybe I can say that the only thing that personally makes me feel slightly uncomfortable about tourism in Rome is when I visit the center of Rome and there are so many foreign tourists that I feel like I don't belong there, even though I am a Roman myself!

Of course! I’ve never felt like England is over-touristed and I always find it fun giving foreign tourists directions! 8)

There has been a lot of controversy lately regarding tourism in Spain. In practically every major city there are “Tourists go home” signs. The reason for these signs is not that they don't want tourists, but that they blame the tourists for the higher prices (food, rent, etc). For foreign tourists, many of these prices are fine, but for locals it is unaffordable. The situation is so critical that, for example, many doctors refuse to go to Ibiza to work because they can't afford the rent.

In my opinion, I think it is hypocritical to say such things, when the Spaniards themselves also contribute in some way to tourism in overcrowded areas of Spain (and in other countries, of course). Besides, I believe that tourists are not to blame for the fact that our politicians are not capable of guaranteeing quality jobs to the citizens. Nor do I think they are to blame for the fact that there are speculators who take advantage of this type of situation to squeeze every last cent out of the Spanish citizens.

People love to blame tourists for everything. I remember a Finnish guy saying not to visit Finland as it will destroy their nature. I usually believe it is just Xenophobia because these kinds of people will travel around their own country doing exactly what the tourists do but probably worse (if you can even consider tourists as damaging) and also I’ve never actually seen anywhere be impacted negatively by tourists other than the Himalayas. Rant over
