Let us assume that will be when September ends.

The chances of me getting a wii-U for xmas is quite low I'm afraid.
It's quite upsetting. But it's a good thing my birthday is 30 more days after xmas! Win for me!
Though I plan to find a copy of megaman 7 for the snes which ranges from $70-$100
It's a shame that it will be exclusive to the wii-U though. Would have been a great chance to show the other consoles what rayman legends can truly show.
Yeah, I know Xmas isn't anytime soon though it'd be the closest to an opportunity for a wii-U.
Guess I'll just watch youtube walkthroughs

Don't make the assumption that Rayman Legends will be Wii U exclusive, there have been hints suggesting otherwise.

Another hands-on, GoNintendo posted it recently:

Aaaand a new interview:

It's cool how the interviewer actually presses Michael to know the release date of the game XD

Ah, you can still hurt each other like in Origins. Especially with the new teleporting Murfy that could show up above you at any time and drop an ugly present on your head, multiplayer "co-op" will become very fun.
Now, say the game comes out in November like some rumours say, how long would it take for it to be ported on the other major consoles such as the PSIII and the Xbox360 (or will it not be ported at all ...?)?

I was bound to get a boon face sooner or later.

Sorry, if Rayman Legends isn't a wii-U exclusive that will be a score! Save me a lot of money!
In the interview "When you start off in the game you see these creepy paintings and you are looking at them and all of a sudden you jump inside them and that's a new adventure"
...Something about this sounds pretty awesome, perhaps they'd add a non-medieval style to one of the worlds for the hell of it? They really seem to be onto something really good!
Y'know... so maybe not EVERY level in the game would be all medieval and we'd get to see a new style kind of... that'd be pretty cool.
It's like how Kingdom Hearts has it's own different themed worlds. Though Rayman Legends will obviously have a huge portion of medieval levels if anything.

I think only one of the worlds will be medieval-themed, and then others will have different themes, like the Land of the Livid Dead one that shows off the play-to-the-music style of gaming (which I think is a brilliant thought from the devs' side). I don't think they'd make the whole game medieval, though it is possible.
Has the new red-haired girl character been confirmed yet, or was she just a leaked prototype rumour of which there are no official statements that she will be in the game? If she gets in, it'd be a bit of a weird move. Adding humans - or at least a character that looks suspiciously humanoid - is this a good idea? I know the Lividstones could be considered human-like and the Hunters are most probably in fact humans, but the Viking (

) Girl seems a bit too obvious one of man.

Yeah! That's what I'm saying.

Also, any ideas as to why the game is entitled 'Legends'? I guess it could be any old title that can be used for any occassion, really, but maybe it has signifficance?

Not sure if this'll answer your question, but here's the summary from the official website:
Rayman, named platformer of the year and winner of multiple artistic and musical achievements, is coming to the Wii U with a brand new adventure. Michel Ancel, celebrated creator of Rayman®, Beyond Good & Evil® and the Raving Rabbids® is bringing his innovative creativity to this new and exciting platform. Rayman Legends makes full use of the power of the Wii U. With the new Wii U controller, discover new ways to platform with its touch-based gameplay, gyroscope technology, and even the ability to extend your playing experience when the TV is off. Additionally, the power of the machine has helped pave the way for new, more detailed graphics and lighting.
Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.

Ah, that explains the name.
I personally don't feel that it will be all medieval.

It's been so long since Ubisoft has released any news on Rayman Legends as Cheetahmen 2 on the NES is an abomination! (Perfect comparison, huh?!)
