So you still believe in god, then? Do you also still believe that Catholics are evil?
Of all the questionable deeds attributed to God in the Bible, ‘abandoning’ his son with a loving mother and foster father is not the example I would select.Rsandee wrote:Well, my views sure have evolved since last summer.
I came to the conclusion that the idea that God would care about us believing in him is just stupid.
He's like a father that abandoned his child at birth.
Yes, that's the religion I meant.MrBadGuy wrote:Do you mean Jehovah's Witnesses?
Jehovah is just the Roman word for the Hebrew god
Sounds like gnosticism.Rsandee wrote:I came to the conclusion that the idea that God would care about us believing in him is just stupid.

My brother was forced to take their little books countless times, it turns out. I'm a bit door-shy.Hunchman801 wrote:Sounds like gnosticism.Rsandee wrote:I came to the conclusion that the idea that God would care about us believing in him is just stupid.

As concerns Jehovah's Witnesses, they're not a distinct religion but more of a very special Christian group. When someone knocks at your door and asks you if you knows Jesus, you know you're doomed!
I'd rather troll them until they leave. Wait, they never leave.DesLife wrote:Nah, you just kick em out.
Sorry for being a Grammar Spongebob, but *know. Also, I do know Jesus, my Mexican pen pal.Hunchman801 wrote:When someone knocks at your door and asks you if you knows Jesus, you know you're doomed!
You got me there.Hunchman801 wrote:Then you are wrong, such a belief is not necessarily incompatible with science.
I'm just curious, what would you pick specifically?spiraldoor wrote:Of all the questionable deeds attributed to God in the Bible, ‘abandoning’ his son with a loving mother and foster father is not the example I would select.
Forever trolling!Hunchman801 wrote:I'd rather troll them until they leave. Wait, they never leave.DesLife wrote:Nah, you just kick em out.
I knows.Rulez wrote:Sorry for being a Grammar Spongebob, but *know.
It certainly was!RayFan9876 wrote:I somehow feel like that bump was an excuse to start another religion debate, beginning with our newer users. Interesting topic remains interesting.
I would not pick anything, as I have no vendetta against Christianity. I was just pointing out that there are better examples, like when he created Satan, or that one time when he killed all of the people in the world.RayFan9876 wrote:I'm just curious, what would you pick specifically?spiraldoor wrote:Of all the questionable deeds attributed to God in the Bible, ‘abandoning’ his son with a loving mother and foster father is not the example I would select.
Yeah, good, just checking.Hunchman801 wrote:I knows.Rulez wrote:Sorry for being a Grammar Spongebob, but *know.
