- I'm sick of the academic conference I am right now. It's extremely long, I don't even have time to go to the bathroom due to its ridiculous organization, there's nothing related or similar to what I am doing and we're extremely tired because we can only sleep around 5h per day.

I hate it when mothers try humiliate you for a joke with their friends. It’s always when another brags about their kids and then mine goes “my kids would never do that, they’d just be like this instead”. Even though I’ve been doing “that” for AN ENTIRE FUCKING DECADE! I don’t know why I get so pissed by this, I just seriously do.

+ beat the high score on the Flappy Bird aracde game, won nearly 1200 tickets from it
+ ate a slice of pizza

- struggling financially like usual, and have been trying to make additional money applying to be an Uber driver. I've been sorting out my documents and going through a million issues getting in the way, faulty document rejection messages, difficult AI support chatbots, eventually get them all working after weeks. Everything looks fine, I buy supplies (delivery bags, new dashcam setup), spent a day pressure washing my car and shampooing the inside, to suddenly get rejected the day before I'm going to start driving because of "criminal history"

That history was one time three years ago where my (ex) boyfriend had a severe allergic reaction and couldn't breathe, I was a bit tipsy and had to immediately drive one minute down a pretty desserted road to 7-Eleven to get him Benadryl, and of course there's a random police checkpoint there... I didn't even fail the breathalyzer test, just fell in the warning range and got a 3-day suspension.

Apparently a many-time convicted felon can be president of an entire country but I'm not allowed to make a cent because I tried to save someone's life a few years ago. Never felt this crushed by a rejection before


+ Spent the last 2 days in a bar as a result (pretty unusual for me to feel demotivated enough to do that) and ended up meeting a lot of really great people who I fit in with right away, laughing and talking about everything, sharing so many interesting stories and conversations. 3 of them (so like half of them, also all friends with each other lol) tried to hit on me at some point, which was an unexpected confidence boost I needed. I'm glad the extra care I've put into myself this year is showing

It's incredibly invalidating, and it's coming from your own mother, the one who's supposed to inspire and protect you more than any other. It's confusing and frustrating, it destroys trust. That thoughtlessness is one of the easiest ways to build up resentment in your child Just remember, moments like these teach you what not to do to your own kids if you ever have them.

+ Finally fixed my issues with OBS. I needed to change the resolution of the game capture scene I was using, and not the other way around. Now my game records in fullscreen despite it apparently being in 800x600 resolution normally.

So sorry that things didn't pan out well. After all the work you just put in fixing up the car, that's really crushing.

I've never watched Steven Universe, so I have no opinion. From what I gather though, some of the things it represents are downright harmful and weird, but other things it does very very well. I'll probably check it out at some point.

Thanks- I feel more upbeat today. I'm going to do some legal research, because this is ridiculous, and I think there's actually a decent possibility of getting may way if I talk to the right people.

+/- Rain for 5 straight days. Hmmm not sure how i feel about this.
- The referral that was sent to my endo should have lasted til July 23, but they said it expired? Ugh dealing with this is a pain when her office and my PCP's office have two conflicting accounts on the referral that's on hand at my endo's office.
