Yeah it does look like they've done away with the smaller proportions for the overworld, even the buildings and locations appear more natural looking. It's definitely another big shift, and it looks like the remnants of the 2D era's aesthetic method that were beginning to be phased out in Gen V have been almost completely purged now. Kinda bittersweet, but I guess it doesn't really serve much purpose with a system that has as sufficient graphical capability as the 3DS.

That being said, I'm somewhat curious, will there be a significant performance difference between the 3DS and New 3DS? I've heard that Planet Robobot is somewhat laggy at times on older 3DS consoles, while it's to be expected given that the New 3DS has a tweaked design, I hope the original doesn't suffer for lack of performance.

Am I the only one who owns a new 3DS? It seems almost all my friends (both irl and RPC) seem to be lacking a new 3DS. I'll blame the fact that it only comes in XL size.

I have a NEW 3DS XL and if you want my honest opinion... it hasn't been worth it. While it's nice to have SNES virtual console, I bought the system exclusively for Xenoblade... only to see the performance is significantly worse than the Wii Version, and even graphically worse. The only benefit is the extra analog stick (which is small as fuck) for Majora's Mask.... can't think of anything else.

Main reason why I have no immediate interest in the system is that I actually have the 3DS which came exclusive with Pokemon X which has the XY designs on it and i'd feel bad for abandoning using it for the sake of better processing. Only reason i'd consider buying one is if there's games I want that are absolutely necessary to be bearably playable on it.

So far the only good things to come out of the new 3ds (which yes I do own) is the better processing power and the nub. It's been super helpful for Hyrule warriors 3ds which if you need a fun beat-em-up I totally recommend, although the graphics are janky as fuck.

But I digress, now for those that saw both the japanese and the international trailer, which did you prefer? Personally I loved the more narrative Japanese version because OH MY GOD THE FEELS!!! No kidding I was totally tearing up in the middle of my jewelry class watching it cause the kid reminded me so much of myself, cause when I was transferred to a different elementary school back in the day I was kinda awkward and alone but through the power of Pokemon I found a bunch of new friends (granted I was a card collector back then and wouldn't own a game until I was 16, but still.)

Also we can race customize again. yay. :teuf:

There was a a japanese trailer? I don't remember seeing that one, could you point us in the right direction?

As for the 3DS, I still don't own one, I've been up and downing on it because of how Ninty's being a bit cloak and dagger with their console strategies lately. I'd really like to get one and play titles like Pokemon, and future ones like Federation Force. But at the same time, I don't want to invest into a platform that ends up becoming redundant, especially since my funds are being used to finance things like my studies, I'm also intending to take lessons for driving again soon.

Still don't have a license yet, Master? I'm glad I got that over with years back.

I see no reason not to get a 3DS- it already has an incredibly vast library of games. And even some pretty good 3rd party support (something we know Ninty has not been great with as of lately).

My Pokémon was very depressed, so it went to the doctor. The doctor said “the great Pokémon clown Popplio is in town. Go and battle him, it will cheer you up." And then my Pokémon said “But doctor… I am Popplio.”

So.. on the Pokenchi show a new screenshot of Pokémon Sun and Moon has been shared

I really like how well made are the backgrounds and how the character and the opponent will now be in the battle, very nice.

I think I saw that leaked a while back but it's still pretty nice. Only thing I wanna point out though is that particular character is most likely the rival or at least important so we don't know if it's all or just said important ones.

This is the first gen where I don't find any of the starters appealing :(

The designs are pretty underwhelming to me. Hopefully their evolutions look super cool

Anyone who doesn't like Rowlet is an enemy to me :bad:.
I really really really hope they don't mess up his evolutions.

Rowlett and Litten are alright, but they just don't look like starters to me. More like the Pokemon you would encounter in the first few routes.

Hmm, so your average Pidgey, Zigzagoon, Bidoof, Starly etc.

Yeah the starters are just ok, I kinda like the fire cat thing. I'm getting a little more excited for the game seeing the new content now, I just hope that the constant releasing of Pokeman games isn't gonna oversaturate the series eventually. I mean obviously I want more fucking Pokemans, but I also don't want people to get burned out by it.
