It's no real surprise to me the Rabbids have had far more merchandise. They're bunnies, crazy bunnies. Hate to say it but they are going to appeal to a lot more general people than Rayman has or maybe ever will do, in terms of toys anyway. Plus yeah that is that issue of making Rayman toys convincing, though it would be neat to see them try one with strings like the Tonic Trouble one mentioned.

It also helps that a big majority of the Rabbids merchandise has been of pretty high quality, mainly because most are designed directly at Ubi Art. Espcially the vinyl toys, those were excellent and Ubisoft should consider selling more blank ones one day and setting up a artists collaboration with them like there was with the Bart Simpson vinyl toy some years back..

Even if Rabbids games dry up I bet Ubi will still keep making toys of these little buggers because there is so much you can do with them in toy form. They've barely scratched the surface yet.

Saying that I do hope we get some nice rayman origins figures/statues/toys of some sort. A proper statue of betilla would be ooh lala!

I can't say I've ever seen any merchandise for that game, let alone a plush with wires...you'll have to show me.

They're still going ahead with an animated series. Edit: Nickelodeon just licensed it for everywhere outside France.

Plus somebody on Tumblr claims they played a PSMove version of A&K.

Who knows if in the next two years they also start to appear here in the mornings? :)

Alive & Kicking will be expanded to PlayStation 3 too?

Never mind about A&K, said tumblr user made a mistake. Mr Shade did indeed downright tell me that the game was developed using full body tracking.

OK then, because Ubisoft confirmed before to be an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Guys...guess what.

Rabbids are going to have their own CGI tv show in 2013. According to some rumors, the tv show will be associated with nickelodeon.

Being produced in-house at Ubi is probably the best way to go for a TV series. They've cranked out funny little videos on a semi regular basis of the Rabbids for years now so this would just be an extension of that. There's nothing to 'fix' about the Rabbids animations, so best to stick with what works. Would have liked to have seen what Aardman would have done with them though, especially if they went the stop motion route.

..and why do people assume Rayman has to be in it? The series is officially split from Rabbids now. Would not make any sense for him to just pop up in the series when he hasn't since TV party a few years back now.

Problem is. because the Rabbids began with Rayman, some of the less educated on the matter would assume Rayman would play a part in it, even with his permanent separation from the series.

Rabbids TV show? I don't know if I could take more than four or five episodes without turning into a Rabbid myself. :confus:

My only hope is that they don't ruin the rabbids... I mean, they're probably going to avoid the tobacco/weapons references, and a big part of what they call "gay humor". Also...they're considering making them talk. That worries me a lot, for real.
I mean, you see what happened to the Penguins of Madagascar? Nickelodeon totally screwed up those awesome characters with that shitty tv show.
