- I'm really really thirsty and I don't know why, but it's late and I'm trying to sleep and I don't want to be drinking and putting my bladder into play
I know I'm replying late, but how far is the bathroom from where you sleep? Tbh I'd take a few trips during the night over a strange feeling of dehydration any time
+ Got to use the TEM again, to look at one of my own samples this time.
± Got some good data despite there being a fire drill (planned but not informed in advance!) in the middle of my session

+ Got my full walk in, no shortcuts, and it didn't rain on me

± Found out I'm gonna be mentoring a fourth-year undergrad. I was pretty sure this was coming, but I'm still not sure how well I'll cope

+ Managed to deliver a Quantum Mechanics tutorial without screwing it up
– But I did catch myself using the expression "trivial result" while discussing a question that people had struggled with

It's not too far, it's more the disruption to sleep that puts me off. I have a bad habit of not being able to fall back asleep if I reach a certain level of awakeness during any overnight bathroom trips. So it's something I tend to avoid.

Ahh won that game of chance, I got lucky today and it was only light rain, but definitely being kept on my toes now.
+ Been keeping pretty well hydrated today and don't think I've really hit the same issue
- Feeling a bit bloated, and I can't seem to handle a small meal without feeling overly full

+ I got some stuff done on RayWiki.
- It's been more of a struggle than it should be.

+ I only have 3 levels left on Vita to add relic screenshots for, then other stuff needs to be done at some point.

- ever since I’ve gotten more active on tumblr again I’ve been having more episodes. I’m starting to think that it starts a lot of them for me. I don’t know if that’s normal

Honestly, while it's a bit of a joke, touching grass is a form of self-care sometimes. I've had similar issues and a friend keeps telling me to not be so online and pick up a hobby like reading. Something that keeps me less obsessively online.
I do try adhere to it but I don't know how well I do at it mind, but I'll echo their advice on the off-chance it's of use.
- Day has felt simultaneously very slow and yet very fast
- I think I may have picked a hard question again in the quiz

Going outside for me is a bit of a problem since I don’t have friends irl.
- I don’t think I should have hobbies

++++ Solved today's Wordle in 2 guesses, I think today will be a wonderful day
(I did have the assistance of a hint.... and the fact my usual starter word knocked off 2 letters, but I still feel good about it

)

Speaking of Wordle, a memory flashed into my head today… I remember texting with a chatbot on AIM nearly twenty years ago, and one of the activities it could do was a word-guessing game which was similar to Wordle, but I can't remember how exactly it worked. I remember trying it once and successfully guessing the word "pious", even though back then I had no idea what it meant, I had merely heard it on the Simpsons.

Now, "pious" is my mother's default starting word on Wordle…

Goes without saying but the big one for September will be the 30th, Rayman Alive and its associated announcements.
- I ate too much today and the foods consumed were most certainly...bad for my diet
- I seem to also be struggling on the sleep front again

- Oh Jonster, where I live it's straight 90's for at least the whole week! I CAN'T GO OUTSIDE!
Where do you live, Arizona?
Man, my greatest respect goes to people who live in places that hot, especially humid places.
Hah, I wish.
I don't think I'd be able to take the heat though, if I gotta be honest. Maybe. Never really been there. And of course, there's the dust storms, the droughts and fires and...Well, you get it.

Drill as in the power tool? Doing some DIY?
- Kinda come to the realisation that I really should've been a lot more decisive when it came to a potential acquisition in the past. I missed out bad and it's a lingering regret at this point.
+ We keep at it, even if it's demoralising sometimes.
