1. I can't understand japanese and I like to watch stuff in it's origional language
2. I (personal opinion) don't really like anime (mostly because of the wierd japanese voices and the f*cked up japanese things they show in anime)
When I watched Ranma 1/2 it was in its original language, but it had Brazilian subtitles so I could watch it. Or else I would not understand anything.
And not every animé have wierd stuff, that's just a general stereotype that most people think about japanese cartoon shows. One of my favourite movies of all time has got animé style, and it is quite appreciated among the critics:

Dah Precure is one of those anime where I started watching but I got distracted somewhere along the line and stopped watching.
I do that to way too many anime. I'm not watching any anime now but I am watching Avatar : The Last Airbender.

Oh yeah speaking of which I have Sailor Moon volumes 1-4. What amuses me most about it's manga is that those volumes cover the entire first season plus a good chunk of the second. Fillers much?

Oh my god that was such a weird movie, it was entertaining though. Tanuki, tanuki everywhere.

I (kinda) changed my mind about Animes... I have found one Anime that I really enjoyed: "Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt"
but... that's the only one that keeps me interested for more than 5 minutes ^^;

The tanukis are exactly the reason why i love the movie. Their fighting spirit, social interacting, transforming powers, extremely conflicting nature make them special and very emotional characters.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. Truly a masterpiece ! I've heard the ending is quite fucked up though.
