Sorry, but Reggie confirmed it's going to be a full price retail release. It's also already got boxart and an Amazon page.

Don't see how that's a problem, it's going to be a fully featured game, and the levels are going to be much bigger in scale and will have more gameplay mechanics than before.

For all we know, there could even be unlockable characters.

So it will be a retail game. At least it would look pretty on my retail collection.

I think it will look pretty in everyone's collection :P
I will try to get my hands soon after release.

Buying used games doesn't help the sales for Nintendo at all ;)

I know but paying $60 for Captain Toad is too much like Rayfist said.

I'n perfectly OK with it being a full retail game so long as it's got content. I loved the concept in 3D World, so as long as they expand on it enough and have lots of levels, I'll be happy with it.

Some of the levels are a lot bigger in scale, such as the train level, and others have gameplay shifts, like the mine cart rail shooter level, and it has bosses. It's not the epic Rosalina game that's still a pipe dream, but I always liked Captain Toad, and it seems like they will put a lot into it.

Can I request an admin to change this topic from E3 2014 to just E3 in general? A new topic for next year seems a bit lame, don'tcha think?

Just E3 as "E3 in General" sounds lame tbh.

Well I meant E3 in general as in just E3, so thanks lol.

Honestly in my opinion Nintendo won the show this year at E3, at least for me. So many games that excite me on systems I don't own :c But I will own a 3DS this October for my birthday. On that subject, what's a better investment? 3DS or Wii U? Considering the one I don't get I probably won't get for like a year.

Thats how it was done in past so if we want general E3 topic, Master or another mod would need to merge ALL previous E3 threads made into one.
Why break tradition?

Now I am really hyped about that! Wouldn't it be very awsome if this was actually online co-op? If so, this will be in my shelf on day one :D !

I personally think we should keep them annual, we've already got E3 2012 and 2013 topics anyways. But, how about a consensus? I'll open a poll asking if we want a unified thread, if the answer's yes, I'll look into either merging all the annual threads, or just link to them in this one master thread.

I am for option that we have new thread every year for archival purposes and I think this one should be renamed back to E3 2014.

Making a general E3 thread will be redundant because it will get buried beneath a heap of topics once everyone stops talking about this year's E3. So when next year's E3 rolls around, someone will end up making an E3 2015 topic (such as a new member who doesn't see this discussion), and then you'll have to lock it, and then you'll have to dig up the General E3 topic.

If people do want to talk about previous E3's or something in this thread, there's really no problem with that, it's still relevant, especially since some games from last year's E3 were at this year's E3. And people only have so much to say about this year's E3, and only have so much time to talk about it before they forget.

Don't mean to come across as a mini-mod, but that's just my two cents, based on my experience on other forums. Making new topics annually is always part of the excitement to me, too!

Then no buy for me on day 1, I'm sorry that is NOT worth a full retail price, it LITERALLY is using the same engine of Mario 3D World (Which is a common thing with games but you could barely be able to tell the difference between the levels in this or 3D world), it looks like it'd be an enjoyable fun minigame, but a full title? No thanks. You really can't look at that with a straight face and say "Day 1 purchase", unless Nintendo really convinces me this does NOT look worth a full retail price, it really doesn't.

Though aside from Captain Toad so many awesome games were announced for E3 that I might have to risk skipping out on one of these... Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta, Pokemon R&S remakes, and fucking Smash Bros for the 3ds, ugh, gonna have to start saving up.

Sorry but I really dislike the idea of having one E3 thread. The idea sucks. I always look forward towards next year's E3 thread.

I'm guessing he didn't vote at all because he didn't like the poll in itself. Dunno why, seems more likely of Ad' ;).
