My mother gave birth to me when she was just 17. That is quite a young age to have a child, and my dad was just a year older. I lived with them for about 8 months in an Apartment. I neighbor noticed that they were having drinking sessions and other bad things happeneing there, like drugs and weed and stuff. My grandmother would always come over and buy me all the things that I needed, because my mum and Dad didn't really do much for me because they were either drunk or Stoned. Anyway, one night and arguement rages between my mum and dad for an unknown reason, and one of the neighbors called my grandmother and said, "You have to get that baby out of there". My nan rushed over, and there were police everywhere and a big fight happening. My Nan took me back to her place and I lived with her all my life up till now.

I still see my mum usually every few days or so, but I have not seen my dad for nearly 6 years now. One day I might have to courage to go and look for him, or he might come and look for me, but for now, I am happy with the life that I am leading now. I am used to living with my Grandparents, and I am happy with them. If I went to live with my mother, I probably would not be able to stay long, because I am used to living with my grandparents. And I think that will stay like that until I get a house of my own to live in.

And that is basically what happened.

Well, it's good you're happy, but it really sucks that you couldn't live with your parents.

Oh well, that's life. You know what they say, shit happens, and you just have to get on with life.

Never heard that version before. But you're right, and it's a good attitude to have.

It is a good attitude to have, because no matter what, sometime in your life something bad will happen, and you just got to face it.

Yeah. That happened when my parents divorced last year.

I have gotten over it. I think it's better now than it's ever been.
