So you think just because it's at a fighting game convention they're going to reveal fighting game characters?
How about the fact that the game is fighting game?
Because they might see it as a sneaky way to draw in more hardcore fighting fans, just a thought

All we can do is hope for the best that Rayman will be in the game.

If you think they’re going to announce Rayman’s inclusion at a fighting game convention, you’re going to have a bad time.

Exactly that was my original point, it seems more likely they would announce a character from a popular playstation fighting game like tekken, to get people there interested and draw in more possible consumers, its sucks but that might be the reality :(

Why does it suck? The early Tekken games were excellent for their time and featured some great characters.

I wasn't saying that, what I was saying was "oh hey this FIGHTING GAME will have something new revealed at a FIGHTING GAME CONVENTION"

There's also the fact that Street Fighter and Tekken were never a big part of Playstation history.
And Rayman will probably be DLC.

Ummm Tekken 1,2 and 3 were ps1 exclusives tekken 4 and 5 were ps2 exclusives, dark ressurection was exclusive to psp and 6 was also on ps3, thats a pretty big part of playstations history if you ask me

Yup, I totally agree. Besides, the Tekken series is a really good one, with interesting characters. I'll be glad if Rayman could join the party, but I must say that I also want to see Crash Bandicoot (at last^^) and Spyro the Dragon too, who were 2 heroes originally made only for sony plastation. Even now, Crash Twinsanity for example was a playstaion 2 (and later xbox, but still...) exclusive games. Also, they are strong fighters, who'll be good for that kind of game. I share the same sentiment for Rayman, of course!

This isn't PABR related, but the biggest Smash Bros. fansite, Smash Boards has a section for the upcoming SSB4 game, and many people have started threads for characters they'd like to have in the game. Luckily, Rayman has a thread on that site, so feel free to check it out.

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=324674

I didn't make the thread, but I did provide a few sketches for moveset potential. I doubt any of the threads will affect any character's chances of actually appearing, but I recommend giving Rayman's thread a look. Its mainly there so you can discuss Rayman's moveset potential, possible stage choices, assist trophies, and music from the series that could be included if Rayman was playable. Keep in mind though, Rayman's not the only 3rd-party character with a thread, so no flame wars.

Just share your ideas for Rayman if he was playable in Super Smash Bros. 4

2 new charcters will be announced at comic con July 15th, my guess is Cole Mcgrath (infamous) due to him being both 1st party and a super hero/ comic book character, they seem to be announcing a 1st party and 3rd party character simultaneously so maybe rayman too :o

To be honest, whether or not Rayman gets in the game, it's good that he's back in action away from being a mere cameo, recognition would be nice, yes, but as long as the series remains true to what it has made and continues to grant us great games, then a mere role in another game is insignificant.
