Right? Now that I think about it, Martinet voiced more than one character besides Mario. I wonder if his retirement means that they'll have to find others to voice Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, etc...

I will definitely miss that iconic voice.

Yes, he has voiced a lot of characters, including Wario. However in some cases I guess Nintendo will keep using the same voice clips until they can fully transition to the next voices.

That sounds about right tbh. Hope his voice will still be on Super Mario Wonder when it comes out!

That's going to be interesting. I wonder if he's going to sound really weird in comparison to what we're used to.

I kind of wonder that too, Martinet's been around voicing Mario for almost 30 years (maybe even longer since I think there was a game before Super Mario 64 too) and I've gotten so used to hearing him as Mario by now. Imagine it being Chris Pratt!

Ohh right, I see. I can't imagine Mario without that Italian voice though, so iconic! Maybe with the succeeding voice actor he could have an italian or even Brooklyn accent, since that's where the bros hail from.

I prefer the Italian in games, but American in movies

Yeah! That’s one of the few character personality changes I can be satisfied with, most companies fail terribly attempting it

Oh speaking of which, I hear there's also going to be a brand new Princess Peach game released later! I wonder if this will showcase her with any traits that she had in the movie?

Yes that’s right, it’s for the DS! It’s quite unique for a game in the Mario universe which is why I like it!

Yes it's only for the DS. Ugh if only my 3DS top screen wasn't broken and I had my physical copy of the game I'd play it now.
