It isn't difficult to piece two and two together, to see a clean game case with a different cover to a bad condition one with PlayStation at the bottom. He claims it's as in the picture, but we both know good and well someone at a post office wouldn't swap games on you during transit.

Especially for the same console, definitely not a likely situation, but what I am curious on, is if he even watches your video, and how he'd react to that.

Actually he responded back to my video (well not in YT comments but on eBay) and he saw mistakes and he is now offering me free shipping of correct item, but he is angry about negative feedback. Well, boo whoo, I don't want from him the game anymore because I found better deal already in the meantime, so I told him that I want full refund of 33 Eur and that if he refunds me, I will request eBay to change his feedback from negative to positive.

Did he even have multiple listings of Rayman 3 to begin with?

Well, it would give a benefit of a doubt normally, because it could have been unintentional. However it is still hard to see that with those, since even the hologram part on those seem pretty good. I can see the case getting cracked during shipment, but again, we don't know.

However it's really clear what you were supposed to receive, as you mentioned, so. :|

Package was protected with bubble wrap, it would had to be really hard hit on purpose to be damaged. I can bet in anything item was cracked already. Plus in both messages he sent me, he did not mention crack at all so it is weird. He could have said it did not have crack when it left his house, but he did not say anything regarding that.

He is not responding now at all on my latest message, Well, he will have to do it sooner or later, or else if he does not in 10 days, PayPal will automatically return me money.

PS1 jewel cases are notorious for cracking to the point of oblivion but that's still no excuse for this guy to send you a copy that's in such a bad state especially when it's not the same as in the photo and description. Hope you get this settled.

Even if it did crack during transport, it is every seller's responsibility to protect the game (expecially jewel cases) when shipping outside of his own country. I swear I warn sellers a lot to be careful when shipping to me PS1 games.

Commented the video.

What the seller needs to release is that what is in question is not the game but yes the edition of the game. The 1995 edition is not the same thing as the 2000 reprint edition (The 1995 does not own the black striped PlayStation title in the cover of the artwork, and the manual is much thicker due to a bigger number of pages). Also, the jewel case was not cracked in the photo and what OCG got doesn't really seem a transportation damage due to its brutality (it isn't like someone sat on it inside the truck :?) .

He probably doesn't know that videogame buyers are aware and can be strict to these details.

This reminds me of once outside of eBay, in a Portuguese website. The seller was describing his R2TGE Dreamcast game as Good condition, containing everything. When I receive it, it had a broken arm of the jewel case, and a super scratched disc. I would have considered more like Average condition rather than Good condition, I felt scammed. At least I managed to recover the money and get rid of the copy too.

In addition, the 2000 reprint CD is gray (vaguely reminiscent the platinum edition) instead yellow, on CD margin can be read ©2000 and on front cover it has been applied the USK rating symbol (not only for the German market but for the whole European market) instead the Ubi Soft Entertainment logo.

In fact, apart for my collectable purposes, for these reasons (and other possible drawbacks) I buy only sealed games, and if I do not find these sealed, however, I always request the real accurate photos of object's exterior, interior and contents to evaluate the real conditions, plus first order packing. You have to be very careful with mail order otherwise lose peace of mind (and money).

For the rest I am really sad, I know how it feels when it happens. :(

Raymania, the seller who sold me the DC copy before also had photos showing the game with the content, but when I got it these were not corresponding to them. I obviously never buy from people who use an internet picture of the boxart or don't show anything at all (unless I ask for photos).

And I only buy sealed copies when they are available for slightly more money than an used copy (if it isn't already expensive the used one) and/or when I'm looking for Nintendo Wii/DS/3DS/Wii U games with the unused PIN Code for Nintendo Club (because I collect the star points). Otherwise I don't care if they are used, as long they have the state and contents I'm looking for.

I don't really buy sealed games too much as well. If they are rare and from far away country such as Korea and plus sealed, I am happy I got sealed version but most of the time I go for used ones since they are cheaper and I am not rich.

Also, good news people!
I got response from PayPal staff and they will return me 33€ when I provide them tracking number (I need to send the game back to seller). Game was 18€ alone but 33€ is the price with shipping (French post is expensive sadly). Well, I searched eBay and I found some better deal very cheap for 1995 edition. Seller is from UK so I was not sure should I order since I had bad experience from UK 2 times (lost package), but considering I got refund both times, I said why not give this one a shot? Maybe I will have better luck.

Are they going to reimburse you for the cost of shipping, of having it sent back?
