Re: TTQ - Season 143 - The Jonster

Post by eerieyuri »

I don't know if I want to enter since I read their responses beforehand (going to try to not look at theirs as I make my list though):

PlayStation 1, Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, DSi, PC (Original, Gold, and Forever, which itself was released on Uplay/Ubisoft Connect and GOG, but not Steam, which only received R2 as a pre-order bonus for RO.)

Some re-releases include those on PSN, which applies to PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation Vita. Since DS has backwards compatibility with GBA, the original DS / DS Lite can play the GBA version, and since the 3DS has backwards compatibility with DS, the 3DS can play the DSi version. The Gameboy Color version might be on the Virtual Console for 3DS, but I'm not sure. The PlayStation 1 version is also playable through backwards compatibility on PS2 and PS3 (you can either play directly off a disc or through a digital copy on PS3.)

There was also Pocket PC and iOS, but I don't believe I would have gotten those without seeing the guesses above.

Edit: If the PlayStation Classic mini-console counts as a unique platform (even if it's only an emulation of the PS1 version), it could be considered another release of Rayman 1.

Well now, this is the most detailed answer I've gotten so far! Welcome to the Teensies Quiz Quest. :)

As a heads up though, you generally cannot edit your answer once you've already posted. Just this once though I'm going to let this slide since it's your first time here, but please don't do that again or your answer will not be counted. If you need any information on the ruleset, check the first post here. I know it's long, but it's important to read it!

Alrighty, PC, PS1, PS2 (if we’re counting backwards compatibility), PS3, PS Classic, PSX (same as PS2), PSP, PS VITA, Sega Saturn, PlayStation Mobile (On Sony Xperia), Atari Jaguar, GBA, Pocket PC, DS (same as PS2), DSi, 3DS, iOS, Android, Wii U

And by a stretch, GBC and Palm OS

No I'm not going to count backwards compatibility for this question. But these are all great answers so far from everyone!

I already feel like i'm going to have a headache from this question though...

RayGamer99 wrote: Sun May 04, 2025 2:55 am Alright, let's see here...

Atari Jaguar, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PC/MS-DOS, Pocket PC, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DSi, Virtual Console, GoG (whatever that is), and mobile? I probably missed a few, but those are the only ones I could think of.
Which mobile OSes though? There are a number of them, like Windows Mobile and Android. I need you to define them for me please.
By "mobile" I meant iOS and Android, referring to the short-lived Rayman Classic.

Alright, it's been 2 days since I asked this question so now, with 16 correct answers, Greengoop receives the point for this question!

Scoreboard:
8 points - Raygamer99, dr_st
4 points - DaveRattlehead, PluMGMK
3 points - Greengoop
2 points - Master
Bonus Question 1: Raygamer99  400 points

Bonus Question 2: It's another ROTG-style bonus question! The conditions for this question are the same as the last one, only this time the prize is doubled. So let's begin:
Clue #1 (1000 Tings): This level comes from a spinoff game.

Question 31: Here is a track from Rayman 2. Your job is to tell me all the locations where either section of this track can play.

Main question: (All except the first one are just wild guesses, I'm not great with Rayman 2 questions) The Fairy Glade, The Bayou, The Menhir Hills?
Bonus question: Zenith Harbor?

Ok all of those are wrong. And RayGamer's post for the main has only 1 correct answer, there are more than that.

Bonus Question 2: It's another ROTG-style bonus question! The conditions for this question are the same as the last one, only this time the prize is doubled. So let's begin:
Clue #1: This level comes from a spinoff game.
Clue #2 (900 Tings): The level appears near the end of the game.

Pirate Machinery plays in Fairy Glade 4, Sanctuary of Stone and Fire 1, Echoing Caves 1 (plus the intro map), Tomb of the Ancients 1 (the secret Lum room), and Iron Mountains 1.

This would be correct down to the letter...if I was talking about the PC version! But since I didn't specify a version in the question, I refer to the default, which is the Dreamcast version so there are a couple places missing from your answer. Also for anyone else wanting to post an answer to the normal question, I forgot to bring it up but I'd like you guys to specify the location and phase number like the quoted answer please.

Hmmm... I realise that the recent clue I posted for the bonus might be confusing, so I'll be rephrasing this.

Bonus Question 2: It's another ROTG-style bonus question! The conditions for this question are the same as the last one, only this time the prize is doubled. So let's begin:
Clue #1: This level comes from a spinoff game.
Clue #2: The level appears past the halfway point of the game.
Clue #3: (800 TIngs): Only 1 type of enemy can be found in this level.

You all are free to answer both questions again, if you'd like.
