+ Myself and my brother managed to install the new shower, even though there were a few things that became a bit annoying in the process.
+ It works, which is always a bonus.

- Due to it being slightly different in size, there are gaps that will need to be sealed with silicone.

Nice work! Does it feel like a substantial upgrade or more just a functional replacement?
- I forgot how unpleasant heavy congested traffic can be, not a fun drive was had
- didn't help either that my music went kaput early on through the drive so I didn't even have something to keep my mind on until I switched to Nintendo music.

I've not used it myself yet aside from testing that it works, but I will want to shower tomorrow so we will see. I believe it has a stronger flow (which makes sense as the older one had a pump that was starting to fail), so you have to reduce it further to get the water to be hot enough, even with the slightly higher kW rating. We don't lose anything there though, it will vary during hotter or colder seasons anyway, and I'm sure we had to reduce the flow further on the old one did when it used to work properly too. Failing motor = higher flow setting to achieve the same flow, I guess. It really sounded like it was going to die within a week or two so yeah, we just binned the old one.

When we were collecting the shower yesterday, it was during rush hour at home time. Ironically the traffic was so much worse going in the opposite direction from us, but it had cleared up significantly by the time we were going home. I'm not a fan of those stupid traffic lights some places have though where they only go green for like 10 seconds at a time.

Lights cleverly designeed to cause trouble and mayhem for everybody! Hate those kinds of lights.

I do this whenever I'm out by myself just listening to random music (usually Nintendo and usually something Mario-ish).

Ahh makes sense, suppose that's something that's going to need refinement as you get accustomed to using it then?

I'm guessing you'd be heading to shops or a retail park while most would be heading home in the other directions so that makes sense. Agreed on the traffic lights front, though can't say they were an issue for this drive as it was predominantly motorway driving.

While I do like listening to video game music, when I'm on long drives I like having a mix of VG and regular songs, having lyrics to sing along to (I embrace the cringe) makes these long journeys more fun. So I was a little miffed my music player decided to give out. Nintendo Music was a happy backup, though driving to tracks like Waltz of the Boos, whilst topical to the season, isn't what I'd class as driving music, to give an example.

We have those where I’m at, you’re not the only one. It drives (no pun intended) me and my mother crazy!

Yeah it will probably just take a bit of getting used to instead of accidentally jumping into a freezing shower.
I must actually make sure both heating elements are working, in case only one out of two function. Even if this was the case, a new heater can for it is worth it given the price it was. It would be weird if this had failed though, our old one never even had the heater fail and it was ancient.

We were going to someone's house, but it's possible there may have been something of the likes in the direction we were going. A lot of the traffic was coming from straight on, but we had to turn right into their estate.

Yeah they're just really annoying. If you don't make it, you have to wait for a couple minutes again.

- Woke up far too early after sleeping too late.

- Deleted all my old VMs but realized that I forgot to document how I fixed Spelling Blaster so the intro video would play. Oops.
+/- Have to pick up aunt later. Wants to hang out with mom for weekend.

Just to get back to this question. I was using it earlier and I did have to turn it up a lot higher (which slows down the flow so the water gets hot enough). I feel like the pressure at that point was probably much the same as the old one was on its stronger flow setting though, and the only reason I have to restrict it so far is because it has a far stronger flow than the old one, likely due to how it was failing.
Regarding whether it's an upgrade, I'd say yes. It's white instead of yellow, and it's far quieter than the old one as well. It uses a brushless motor for the pump instead of the old ones with brushes, and apparently is about 55dB, while the old one was about 74dB. Evidently, as loud as a fridge, while the old one was as loud as a hoover.

I kind of wonder what causes these sudden morning headaches, though as mentioned it could be the change in weather.
+ Looking forward to getting some equipment to replace the old adapters for retro consoles. If it works, I won't have to worry about looking for specific adapters all the time.

- Car problems? For awhile now the car has consistently not been able to start up all the way or sounds weird to me when it does sometimes which prompts me to turn off and then restart the car. Upon doing some research it seems that was a pretty bad idea.

- Got to the vet’s place. At 2pm. Gonna be here for awhile. And i have to stay in the car so it will stay on cuz I worry it’s not going to start up the next time.
- Have a checkup tomorrow with doctor too. Might have to take mom’s car instead since I think my car might have a problem.
- Haven’t found the solution to getting the intro video to play. Reverted back to Virtualbox 6.1 and now I have to set everything up again.
+ Finally progressed forwards with the FE game I’m playing.
- But not with Rayman 3

+ Today has been pretty calm though beforehand. That’s a good thing tbh. I’d prefer not to spend the entire of this particular day panicking or stressed out (which is usually what happens when I run into a problem I can’t fix right away or by myself).
+/- Everybody in my house is sick????? Meanwhile I’m still just having allergy problems.

Hopefully it's not something too serious regarding the car.
+ Walked the dogs again today.
+ They had their vaccinations, so there are only 2 more dogs to bring next week and we're done for a year.
+ Some of the stuff I ordered regarding a modern solution to powering my retro consoles arrived today.
+ I'm expecting the rest tomorrow, hopefully it works!

When you say not starting properly, is it not turning over or is it turning over but it's not idling properly?
- I have work in a few hours and once again attempts to sleep are less than successful
+/- Tomorrow's relatively uneventful so I'm hoping I can crash after work
- Sucks I'm gonna be a zombie tomorrow at this rate though

————— Wasn’t able to sleep well last night due to sniffling. This morning, however I suddenly developed a sore throat really quickly after having an itchy throat a couple hours prior so I’m more convinced now that I have a cold and it’s not allergies.
- Rescheduled my appointment.
+ Gonna sleep for awhile.
…….
What is a terrible way to finish yesterday. Am I being punished for doing something bad? Is this because I stole Steo’s tea years ago?? Or maybe it’s because I was mean to Fifo for no reason in my first year???
