I have to agree with Plum on that one.

Mr. Skops is more like a treasure guarder/gate keeper though. You have to pass through him before Mr. Dark, and in case you haven't noticed, there are treasure chests heaping with gold everywhere.

You mean he's like Foutch?

1. You don't chase Foutch
2. Foutch didn't have heaps of gold with him, though he was yellow.

What really happens to you it's the reverse: It is Foutch that pursuit you, not the reverse.

It was a loose analogy. :oops2:

The level in which the player chases Mister Skops is a better fight than the next one.

Actually, it is a good loose analogy to what I'm referring too.

Mr. Skops, I think, is more like a guardian of something just like the guardians of the masks in Rayman 2.

Meanwhile, the previous bosses in R1 are more like.. well.. bosses. They are indeed in charge of the world or just bigger baddies or whatever.

Actually, I think Skops is like Jano. Not a guardian of a mask, but a guardian of a cave with heaps of treasure in it, who attacks you, thinking you want his treasure, but you only want something else ( to go to Candy Chateau / get the elixir of life ). You also chase Jano ( in the actual fight level, not the one where he chases you :P ).

Everyone, look at the background of the Skops fight:

The actual structure Rayman fights Mister Skops in has a Skops statue/altar on its left, and there's what looks like an Arabian-style temple in the background. Win.

Maybe there's some kind of a lost city deep in the caves.

That would be cool.

Maybe it's an entrance to the Cave of Bad Dreams, or the R1 valley's section/equivalent of it... Skops could be Jano's counterpart...

Yeah, maybe the Cave extends under the sea as far as Mr. Skops's Stalactites! Mr. Skops is a big scorpion who found himself living in this emporium of treasure and claimed ownership of it without knowing about Polokus and Jano and all that.
