Re: Rayman merchandise
Most likely not. They just asked me to provide tracking number and name of Post Service I used to send him item back.
His game costed 18 EUR and shipping was 15 EUR.
When I shipped it back today, it cost me only 5 EUR to send it. French Post Office is really greedy and expensive :/

Re: Rayman merchandise
Well, maybe you can tell him the cost along with the tracking number and ask if they can reimburse that too. If they can't, at least you tried and still got most your money back.
Also, some sellers will charge higher shipping just to recoup other costs such as ebay fees.

Re: Rayman merchandise
Awesome ocg! I wish I had the box to my N64 version of Rayman 2. Map looks cool, though I would suggest in a tripod for your camera. So you can keep both hands free for showing cool goodies.
Re: Rayman merchandise
I wish I could, but I don't have good camera (I record with iPhone 4 since it is the highest resolution device I own) and I don't have tripod. I am not too sure if I buy one will I be able to put iPhone on it.

Re: Rayman merchandise
So uhhh...who here knew that there were alternate coloured McDonalds toys?
I just received some amazing stuff in the mail and then I was shocked when I saw a photo of two different variants. Ohhh boy. Pictures to come soon. Is there any way to hide my pictures in spoilers form?
Sheesh what a shocker. I don't know how I feel about this. I thought I was done with the McDonalds toys.
Alright so a bunch of pictures here. I'll probably delete them after cause it might slow some of you guys down or something. I dunno how internet works!
So here we have a pic of everything I got. Just a bunch of random sealed toys right?

Wrong!

I also got the bags!

Pretty cool right? WRONG! When I looked at the back of those bags....

...Rarest Rayman toys ever??!

Re: Rayman merchandise
Holy moly you got a good bunch here, it's good to know someone out there hadn't thrown the paper bags away and that probably sounded like a neat prize back in the day.
Re: Rayman merchandise
I really did not know that color variants exists. Really good purchase you got there.
Re: Rayman merchandise
Oh my god, where did you get all those stuff?
It is already super difficult to find the sealed toys but the panflets, it is the first time I see those and I had no idea there were silver and gold variants of Rayman sitted on a plum. That's a huge discovery that should be noted in the RayWiki. Happyhaunter, could you please scan the front of each red bag and the panflets in both sides? 300 dpi is the best thing. Also, apparently they weren't just offering the computer and the game, but if your card had Rayman blinking you the eye, you would win a book with tips and tricks. And I can already see a bidding war if the silver and gold variants pop up on eBay one day.
EDIT: Since you also own now the sealed figures, it means you have the instruction panflet. Could you also scan it in both sides in 300dpi resolution? The only pictures available of those have very poor quality.

Re: Rayman merchandise
Yeah I'll try to scan the paper bags. Although as for the red bags and sheet inside, I wouldn't be able to do that since I plan on keeping these sealed. Opening the Rayman on plum one is tempting cause who knows, maybe there's a gold or silver one inside but at the same time, that's way too big of a risk from a collecting standpoint.
I didn't quite understand the third prize so I had to google translate it. Turns out one of the bags actually has him winking! I'll scan that too.
On the bright side, at least it's only Rayman that comes in gold & silver variants. If it was the whole set....that'd be too cruel. Way too cruel. Though this revelation is cruel enough in my opinion!

Nice purchase Happy!
Re: Rayman merchandise
This is only a suggestion but why you just don't open the bags in a way they don't get really damaged? If you really insist to keep them sealed, try at least to take a frontal photo where the drawing is seen really well.HappyHaunter wrote:Yeah I'll try to scan the paper bags. To make you clear about the third prize, it isn't the plum figure that needs to be blinking but yes that artwork of the Walking Shell.
Also, did you get that lot on the french eBay?
Re: Rayman merchandise
Somehow I doubt he will tell source of getting these
Also if I got that, I would totally not keep it sealed. Call me not a true collector if you want but I dislike leaving stuff sealed.

Re: Rayman merchandise
I personally think that having sealed stuff just to have is a waste of money. What I like to do is to conserve the collectibles in a way they contain the original packaging intact (or the less damaged as possible). Halfnew items are technically the same thing as new ones, and what you would normally expect from something sealed. I manage to keep my stuff halfnew because I know how to take care of them.
I'm 95% sure he got those on the French eBay by searching for McDonald's lots and spotted the red bags (which are unique to R2). It is something I never thought to do before but it is worth trying in the future.

Re: Rayman merchandise
I am glad we share same opinion about collecting and sealed stuff. Some people actually keep telling me that I waste money when I open sealed stuff and I don't like it when they do (got recently criticised for opening Korean Rayman 3 but I really wanted to share the game) :/
Hm, not bad idea, I will definitely search for it too on that way.
I wonder how much Happy paid for those.

Re: Rayman merchandise
Hi HappyHaunter, since you're in possession of rare items I wondered if you had these two gadgets?
